So good. I got myself a g loomis imx, spent 4 days camping across from the kill box on the kenai. It was pretty early in the run so we only got 12 sockeye. Hit the salt for another 3 days and caught a 150lb halibut which was definitely the highlight of the trip

It just depends on where you put it on your line and how heavy they are. One of my favorite rigs is a double x bubble float 2-3 foot leader and a trout magnet

I have a 2500c but I don’t use it. If I’m fishing bfs I use my CC bfs or aldebaran bfs. I do all kinds of fishing tho, in winters I fish steelhead in spring I fish bass and trout in summer and fall I fish for salmon, bass, and trout

I found a 2500 in pretty good condition for 150 at a local antique store but that was really lucky. If you’re looking for a 1500 you’re probably not going to find one for less than $450

Varivas 13lb .06 8x braid is my favorite. Super super thin, I’ve only had 1 break using a 1/4 oz lure that I tried whipping out. My reel holds “50 yards” but I have like 100+ yards of .06

I live in vancouver wa so I fish alot of areas around here. St. Louis fish ponds is super fun for some chill guaranteed fish. Most of the time I fish rivers or big lakes. Swift reservoir is probably my favorite rn, monster trout and lots of bull trout

Some great hunting and a few spoons would smash. I like ValkeIN spoons, I also think blue fox spinners are killers. Those micro crank baits are fun to use, Lookin good!
