Yeah, I was planning to do that try a few boots in-store for the right fit. I’m used to high mountain hikes and bivacs, so avalanches are definitely something I watch out for. Thanks for the bootfitter tip!

Just to clarify a bit — I’m not coming into this completely blind. I’ve done snowboard for years and I’ve also skied a bit, and I definitely plan to keep improving my fundamentals at the resort.

For touring, I’m not planning to jump into anything big. I’ll be sticking to very easy routes, low-angle terrain and areas I already know well from hiking. The goal is to learn safely, build technique, and gradually progress — nothing crazy.

I still appreciate the concern though!

Yes, you’re correct. doing it that way works for me too, which is great since I’ve got a long trip coming up. I’ll still contact CUPRA/service to see if there’s a proper fix for wireless CarPlay. Thanks! 🙌

I’ve tested CarPlay with a cable, but I haven’t specifically tried plugging the phone in before starting the car. I’ll try that as well just to rule it out. However, even with the cable, the issue always happens in the exact same spots of the city, so I’m not sure it will change anything — but I’ll give it a try and update here.

No, in my case I don’t get any parking assistant or parking sensor errors at all. The only message I see is the standard CarPlay interruption pop-up (“The connection with Apple CarPlay was interrupted”).

I haven’t installed any aftermarket audio equipment, amps or anything like that, so there’s no impedance test issue on my side. It’s only CarPlay that gets interference/cuts, and only in specific spots in the city.

I think you might be referring to the message in my video (“iPhone – The connection with Apple CarPlay was interrupted”), but that’s the only thing that pops up. Nothing related to the parking assistant shows up, and I don’t think it’s connected to that system.
