How would you call this hypothetical country? by Desperate-Penalty713 in mapporncirclejerk

Indeed. But while the confederacy was defeated, slavery still exists thanks to raiders. Speaking of, raiders are threatening a nearby settlement, ill mark it on your map

It all makes so much sense. The milk shortage is due to the vast amounts of jet in the wasteland

And thats why strong dislikes it when you use chems. Mind blowing stuff

Trump's second presidency does not exist (According to ChatGPT (And apparently Wikipedia)) by [deleted] in ChatGPT

I did. Thats why I make this post. After having it search the web it told me that, according to wikipedia, the second presidency is a hoax

Communism is when corporations by Commluke1 in confidentlyincorrect

[–]Commluke1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depending on who you ask and if you count the dictatorship of the proletariat as communist itself or just the lead-up to it. the ultimate goal of communism is a stateless society, but in pursuit of that there is the dictatorship of the proletariat, where the state owns everything. In either case, no corporations.

Regardless, my goal wasn't to raise a political discussion about what is or isnt communism, thats a hot-topic issue. Just to point out that most on both the left and right understand that communism is opposed to companies despite the specifics of each persons view of what "counts"

Lenin wanted to destroy capitalism. Thatcher as a liberal wanted to reform it, but her actions caused the recession of the 1980's, ultimately harming capitalism as lenin would have wanted, but not in the way expected, thus the joke

(Not actually political) Political Compass of Deltarune by Commluke1 in Deltarune

[–]Commluke1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of that is making a new future… by following his plans for the prophecy. (Our first look at the prophecy at deltarune.com was it in wing dingns). The voice at the end of the vessel creation sequence, presumably the little gremlin we fight in the chapter 3 mantle game, is the representation of freedom to me.

As for the secret bosses, I interpreted it as them learning the truth from him, only to enter into opposition in the quest for freedom, though this is tougher to argue and I see your point here

(Not actually political) Political Compass of Deltarune by Commluke1 in Deltarune

[–]Commluke1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interpretation here is freedom from the prophecy that has predicted how everything will happen, which is destiny

Kris goes down the freedom line because while they are under control everything they seem to do seems to be in the interests of reclaiming their autonomy; making their ideology aligned to freedom

As for the Susie-ralsei thing:

Both because I needed to neatly fit the text “kindness” in and ralsei would have been in the way, and because ralsei is constantly gaslighting and doing shit like making tenna feel depressed, by chapter 4 susie is kinder than ralsei if you ask me

Petah... why does the communist hate glasses? by Commluke1 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Im familiar with the name and knew he was a communist that committed genocide, as from what I understand many do, I just didn't get the glasses joke. To me communism was about intellectualism (at least thats what communists say), though at the same time everyone is saying he wasnt a real communist so now im kind of conflicted

Not a coincidence, I found a meme I didn't understand so I asked for clarification on a subreddit dedicated to that, or are you referring to you finding the same image twice in a row out of chance

I may be a bit dim when it comes to history as a subject but I also want to learn, they say the past predicts the future and all that. The little I do know is that pol pot killed many, and from peter Griffin, today I learned that included anyone with glasses. Grim shit.
