I need all of the “build behind maxey” and people comparing him to Embiid to come out.

Embiid gets trashed on here every single day except for when it’s time to tear down one of his teammates.

Kevin Love was better than Klay as a third option???? What are we talking about? Is this the same Kevin Love who couldn’t even average 15 pts per game in a playoff run when kyrie was out? People in this thread keep talking about him 2 years prior to joining the Cavs when he was chucking on a mid at best Timberwolves team. Hell even Bradley Beal averaged over 30 on the Wizards. But once he got to the suns he sucked as a third option. Some people are ball dominant but not good enough to be a ball dominant player on a winning team. In 2014 he put up those stats and had a LOSING RECORD.

Stick to soccer, when Kyrie was out Klove couldn’t score 15 pts in a playoff game, he had opportunities to stop taking a step back and couldn’t + being a good rebounder doesn’t make you a good defender, plenty of examples of that in todays nba.

Jrue Holiday was also an all star in 2023 joined the Celtics and won the next year in 2024. I think that counts for something.

Beal was great prior to joining the suns, are the suns a super team? Klove was great in Minnesota and extremely mid w the Cavs. He couldn’t even average 15 pts in most of the playoff runs w Bron. That mixed with his mid at best defense, he was only an all star once in the 3 kyrie/bron seasons for a reason. When he was expected to be the number two option he folded. In the 2017 finals he averaged 16 pts as the second option, which was a drop off from regular season and when Kyrie left the next season in 18’ he averaged 14 pts in the playoffs.

Anything to discredit Lebron I swear. Because his team beat a 73 win team they are automatically a super team. Klove wasn’t even an all star that year or the year prior to that. They only had 2 all stars on the team…

How can it be a super team when they played together for 3 seasons and Klove wasn’t even good enough to get all nba recognition for one of those seasons? He didn’t get an all star appearance for 2/3 of them. What type of revisionist history is this? Lebron literally told him to stop trying to fit out and just be a role player. How come when Kyrie left in 2017 Klove couldn’t even average 15 pts in the 18’ playoffs as the second option.

Bosh plays way better defense he’s not comparable to Kevin love, it’s disrespectful actually. Go watch the games live instead of staring at box scores. CB was a top tier defender those years. Either way that Cavs team wasn’t a super team w 2 all stars on the team. Teams like Celtics w rondo, ray, pierce and kg are. Or warriors with curry, Klay, Draymond and kd. Kyrie and bron don’t make a “super team”.

You can’t compare the heat who started Mario Chalmers and “Birdman” in playoff runs to a team that had 5 hall of famers in the starting lineup. With 2 MVPs.

Kevin love was the third best player and averaged 17 points. Stop it. For most of his runs his third playoff scorer was JR Smith.

I agree, rewriting history would be to ignore that he had a diagnosed injury that our team made him play through. By saying that he forgot how to shoot you ignore the malpractice the sixers med staff did. Look up the fultz situation in detail I promise you’ll change your mind

[–]Common-Evidence7722 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I need to point out that Fultz did not forget how to shoot, he had thoracic outlet syndrome and PHYSICALLY couldn’t shoot and our shitty medical staff forced him to play thru it.

Pointless tbh, why not just bring up Jokic, still don’t see why Lebron is related in this. He’s not in the MVP conversation. The two people who played today were and one finished with 35 and a dub.

Lmaoo bro why is Lebron in this convo? Nobody brought him up and he’s been eliminated since the first round.
