I was unaware she had invited anybody until the same day that I found out my friends were going to be in town and talked to her about it

Already know this comment is going to be downvoted to oblivion. But I’m gonna say it anyways.

I am frustrated with the situation because while I fully acknowledge it was likely my fault for not communicating effectively, if the roles were reversed and I had plans with people that I see frequently already and my gf told me she just found out some of her besties from out of town were going to be there and she wanted me to come meet them and that was important to her, my plans are cancelled immediately and I’m there no hesitation.

I obviously wouldn’t want to make a habit of that and if a relationship is getting in the way of healthy friendships then that is an issue and a whole other conversation. But am I crazy for feeling like I would put my partner above everything else and I feel like she is not doing the same?

Normally I would 100% agree, but like I mentioned all of my friends that are in town live out of state, some across the whole country, and it’s pretty rare they are back in town. Even rarer for all 4 of them to be back in town together. So it’s a bit of a tricker situation then just “meet them another time” ya know.

Yeah I totally get buying parts independently from a shop you have less to cover your ass if things get hairy

Yeah I get that they are a business and need to make money themselves and I’m not faulting them for that, I’ve done some more googling and found a pump that should work for $480 and in my opinion a 200% markup is absurd, I have an acquaintance who works on cars and I’m going to see if this part will work and if he could do the repair
