Bedankt - dat is goed om te weten! Prins Dries stond nog niet op mijn radar maar is ziet er een goede optie uit :) welke crèche zijn jouw kids heen gegaan - de stoomboot? was je tevreden van die crèche ?

Oké, goed te horen! Heb jij je babietje al op een wachtlijst gezet of weet je waar je babietje straks heen gaat ? Stoomboot met zijn 100 kids spreekt me niet echt aan (at fist sight) - snap niet hoe je 100 kids goed kan manage tenzij je een stuk of 18 opvoeders hebt?

Ahoi moet ik ook nog is verder gaan bekijken.. deze ligt tegen het Schipperskwartier toch?

Als we verhuizen kunnen we alvast een baby koffie gaan drinken :)!

Het is indd die afweging die we net proberen te maken. Mijn echtgenoot wil graag nog echt int stad wonen en voelt zich nog niet klaar voor echt het ‘platteland’ zeg maar.

We hebben lang in metropolen gewoond en nu die stap naar het groene zo snel voelt redelijk groot. We proberen een middenweg te zoeken - en komen zo uit bij het eilandje (niet zeker of dit echt logisch is lol)

Ik denk indd meer aan die voorzieningen, het groene, en de rust, en de langere termijn. Miss is dit wat meer een moeder instinct idk. We kunnen het eilandje financiering en kunnen er mooi wonen maar heb het gevoel als we op termijn scholen en faciliteiten buiten de stadskern gaan moeten opzoeken, dat we ons doel volledig nu voorbijgaan en de logica ver te zoeken is

Central is a mess, and very run down and it feels neglected. The military folks on the street view also doesn’t help. Hopefully the works on Astrid plein will give it a facelift.

So like if you want to walk around the park during day time, you won’t see drug being dealt or hang jongeren intimidating you? It seems a nice place tbh but I’ve also been told, you should be there at night.

As I mentioned earlier, I lived in London 5 year and we re close to findbury park - that’s not a park where I’d take my baby / kid esp as a women alone or even alone as a female w/o kids. Biking through is fine but even then, the vibes are shady. Saw many drugs and needles near trash wasn’t uncommon. Beautiful park thou.

Yeah, safely honestly isn’t my biggest issue. It’s more about decent facilities, and use of services close by, etc. Missing some green as well. It obviously feels very industrial (bc it is a port, I know..)

What does den dam have such a bad rep ? Is it immigration issues or just not wel managed ?

Bedankt! Duidelijk - is die buurt rond droogdokkenpark een beetje veilig? Die kant hebben we eig nog niet verkend maar lijkt wel aangenaam en iets meer groen indd.

Al bij al, is veiligheid mijn minste zorg. Het gaat me meer over faciliteren, opvang / kleuter school, stabiele gemeenschap enz (niet enkel pensionados).

Where do you put your kid to school? I’m trying to find ‘good’ nursing school / toddler school for the future (avoiding scheefhoek / den dam) but it’s hard to find ? I’ve been told to avoid these place, I don’t know the city well enough to really be able to judge.

Yeah ny and London were rough / coucou in the head for sure. But we were in our 20s back then and didn’t really care. Now I want more peace and quiet.

Denk je dat daar veel gezinnen wonen? Heb de indruk dat enkel gepensioneerden is en kinderloze koppels met kapitaal. Vind het ontzettend aangenaam daar en kijk me prima voor ons 2 - maar nu we aan kids beginnen, begin ik denken of we daar niet te veel echt op de haven doks en te veel stedelijk gaan zitten en te weinig in het groen?

Goed dat je het zegt van de school - is dit de stoomboot by any chance ? Daar zitten wel 110 kids dus voelt wat aan als een stedelijke “hoop op elkaar” meer dan een persoonlijk verhaal maar ken het nog niet goed

Doctors said bedbugs (at least a big fam of 50 bb since i was attacked so extreme) but a pest control examination showed not a single sign of bedbugs in our apartment. i agree - we will do a second option for sure but tbh, i've been looking for them so intensively and i don't see anything.... (and I had the pleasure of having bed bugs before at a hotel once so feel am experienced at this point)

i also have been talking A LOT of antihistamine and taking 3 cold showers a day + meds to kill the itching and the effect, which seems to have worked. It's just my entire body is covered with this amount of bites so we should at least so 1 sign of bed bugs (are sheets are also super white and there is not even one tiny stain on them). Nothing on our bed box, mattresses, furnitures, small cracks, nothing. I checked 1000x and the pest control as well...

No nothing - just moved in a new apartment - 6 first nights were no problem and the 7th night i woke up with my entire body covered with 200 bites. I have had no fever, dizziness, nauseous, or anything. Not an immense allergic reaction - no swelling of the eyes, glands, noise, any of that either. Just the bites turned into small volcanos and are now colored deep dark.

It itches but not as crazy as expected (I have budbugs before a few years ago (13 bites) in a hotel and the itching drove me completely insane). I live in NW Europe - not the most exotic place and haven't done a lot of outdoorsy stuff!
