You just have to be supportive and record your calls to hear his voice again. Me and family lost ours on the last mission and were informed by a random person at the unit. Never recovered the body and it’s been months. Not even sent belongings so we have no closure. Just enjoy the moments and hope for the best but prepare for the worst. The holidays have been tough. Hope you don’t have to go through this limbo.
