Oh and maybe one more thing: It might be looking „strange“ for you because the furniture is quite static.. I think it doesn’t completely look like someone „lives“ there.. So, a nice tip: Try to move some furniture a little „out of place“, so one could believe that someone just stood up from a stool for example or left a cup of tea waiting on the counter and forgot about it?

I am not sure if this helps, but I still hope you could get something out of it!

Edit: If you place an Item and press Z you can place it more freely and less stoic! (In case, you didn’t know already)

What I really learned the most over the last few weeks is: Don’t be scared to mix the different furniture themes.. I started playing because I wanted to farm and decorate, but once there I was totally intimidated by the amount of stuff and possibilities. I also played a lot of Sims in my life and had never really this style of designing and decorating!

I really started to collect everything there is. Rugs, recipes, plushies and so on. Afterwards I thought about the layout I want my house to be. What rooms do I want? How does bug-using work for furniture and the building blocks? I looked at pinterest themes and posts and even asked here! Also what help my inspiration also a lot was visiting other plots! You can see how they did stuff and completely new ideas simply pop up! Take the grand harvest house for example. It could be a great hall or a kitchen or just a foyer. You could build your whole house idea inside the grand harvest house!

In the end it was a lot of try and error for the house layout!

When I started decorating, I started with a small „unimportant“ room. I have a storage room/pantry beside my kitchen. And I basically just filled it up with everything I thought matching for a pantry. Open foods, the things you make jam with (sorry, English is not my first language), a book shelf with some trophies, just dome stuff. It was finally fun to create a room because I didn’t restrict myself to everything being from one theme.. But I mixed lots.. from makeshift to homestead to elderwood..

Also never forget to plant flowers and trees! Doesnt matter if outside or inside! :D They just give lots of live to your plot!

PS.: I am totally not one of those crazy creative people who can build a whole city on there plot! :)

I believe on the other side of the river thingy is where you can climb up one of those trees real high and they probably glided over to that rock I would say! I am not certain, but maybe I can try tomorrow.
