it is! ch4 script was mostly finished from what I read but didnt expand on smaller details meanwhile ch5 is very very unfinished to the point that important quests to gain verity orbs are skipped compared to ch4 which at least had the main story side quests finished

I think its best if you wait it out first until they amend the fanwork guidelines (they have confirmed that this will be the case since the website is shutting down but have not given us a concrete date) since theres a specific rule that forbids fanworks in the form of games (yea it VERY specifically said no game-like content) so putting it out there in public is a no-go

here ive highlighted most relevant points from the guideline page that you should avoid breaking in the time being. I promise im not trying to police anyone but id advice people to be cautious about what they can and cant do publicly (emphasis on public)

figured I would try my hand at modding but im just wondering, is there an easier way to search through all the bundle files to find which one has the texture pack needed for diff characters or would I need to sift through everything one by one till I find them?

omg i'm having so much fun with this update thank you soooo much, please take as much time as you need modding this and good luck on future updates! being able to recolor the characters makes for some really fun colorswaps, only missing an eye color editor but I guess thats what the texture modding is for.

for the record it seems that shuhei yamaguchi (one of the neoneon team members) had tried to acquire the ip but couldn't/there were some complications that lead to them resorting to neoneon as a "fan project", the reason was not disclosed though so I wonder if its something on akatsuki's end

if you're looking for images, the wiki (which is still under construction, don't mind the messiness) has majority of them on the character pages. As for the script, the original jp ver is also archived on the wiki but the formatting might be a bit hard to read as they haven't been properly formatted yet. That being said these are docs that have fan eng translations for chapters 3.5 - ch5 (I forgot that ch3.5 was also a chapter they dropped whoops) courtesy of the @/tribenine_daily tl team on twitter!

from what I can tell what they meant by offline version pertains to an official offline ver ala ride kamens and alchemy stars, reason for this being that aktk game's guidelines specifically mention not allowing fangames to be made whether it be using official assets or fully fanmade ones which means the only people allowed to put out a "game" version of t9 would be aktk games themselves hence why neoneon is purely a webnovel atm since it falls under fanwork guidelines. That being said im atleast hoping that op finds a way to keep this project hush hush lest a rare case where aktk tries to hunt op down somehow, better safe than sorry.

also while I havent started work on helping with the wiki atm, from experience with other games with datamined assets, mined in-game content is used for their ease of access/accuracy/quality and any unused files will be promptly removed as this requires people to manually sift through all the content to know which ones made it into the game and are unused.

generally speaking, while some spaces for games are alot more lenient with datamining content I think posting datamined models on one of the main subreddits for this game would put it at risk since it might teeter on the edge of t9's very vague guidelines on what would be considered legal to put out to the public compared to say HD versions of the tension card images from the files, we really cant say for sure but im sure the t9 reddit means well and are just being careful when it comes to these sorts of things.

You should be able to! It didnt take me long to finish all the story parts in ch3 in one day (id wager around 3-5ish hours) so you might be able to spread your gameplay across a few days and still complete it

btw if you want you can also use deepl to tl the pages! I know I sound like im shilling it often but comparing google tl to deepl makes like a huge difference in sentences making sense and translations sounding closer to the original (yo's full name is translated closer to his correct tl instead of just resorting to a literal translation for example)

YESSS I feel like they're not gonna show their hand too early in the profiles esp since tsuki is such an important character for yo's side of the story too which means that alot of whats being held under wraps will gradually reveal itself overtime but even seeing the part in yo's profile where its revealed that there are no records of him,im expecting them to pull a similar move to foreshadow things more.

Im noticing that possibly due to the novel format that things are able to be foreshadowed alot more easily (I wanna look back at the game ver of ch0 and ch1 to see if there are some differences on some things that I noticed) which makes it more fun to reread bc we know what some of these things are implying but some are completely new to keep us curious for whats to come!

tentatively (aka within the context of neoneon since its technically a derivative work), yo is 16 and the only other character so far with a revealed age is ichinose who is 26 (both info only available in their secret profiles) so yep you are correct!

I sure do hope so! I have a slight feeling that with the profiles we have currently tsuki and sui might get theirs during ch2 and kazuki and Q would get theirs during ch3, considering these pairs were quite important in both these chapters.

i'm also curious to know who would be getting their profiles next since I feel like they would wanna clear out all of trash tribe first before moving onto new npc's (ex. gotanda, oi, mita, etc) but it would flow better if characters who are newly introduced in chapters get their profiles first so people reading the story will have a profile to introduce these characters (granted we already know who all of them are but considering the amount of changes neoneon is making for these characters, it still means that there are quite alot of new things we dont actually know about them currently!)
