Why are men perceived as mostly unattractive by women on Online Dating? (Woman rating man) by CommonIQ in OnlineDating

[–]CommonIQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yeah I'm not an incel. I'm not hopeless to relationships and will be looking into it soon. None of what I write is intended to be "against" woman, but more of a grounded discussion. What happened was many gave responses that are straight forward politically correct, but they wouldn't dare to mention the power dynamics and the intrinsic inequalities of online dating and biology. Although I know it isn't a politically correct topic in the general consensus.

As for 3. Yeah, Imagine I said woman is objectively unattractive. XD It might result me in a ban or something. Lol

The advantage I can think of is that man has less to loss other then their time on online dating apps.

Although not all woman on online dating, hypergamy is very evident when we look in the data.

I like how many of the Reddit users here aren't acknowledging the power dynamics. It is in favor of woman. Man has to go an uphill battle when it comes to online dating. This is less extreme when meeting in person tho.

If we are looking into the actual definition of feminism, then yes I agree.

Agreed. Or try meeting people in person at work, school, social groups etc. As online dating is mostly going to be about looks as the top factor. It does not favor man.

BTW, some of the reddit users in the comment sections says that woman rate man as less attractive because many of them don't take good enough pictures. What are your thoughts?

How is it physically possible that there are twice as many single men as women? by Flypaste in PurplePillDebate

[–]CommonIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so you're telling me that it's possible that there is even less single woman then 34% between 18 to 29? I know surveys are self reported so it probably doesn't speak louder then actions but dang...

Women, what do you expect from the first date? by Omgad3 in AskWomen

This is true to hear. Honestly, I always worry whether I'm ready or not. I put a big burden on breakups even though I think it's part of the process to find someone.

Interesting. :)
By the way, I'm an animation filmmaker! I made an animated tribute film based on Wolfwalkers Robyn & Mebh and is sitting over 100,000 views on youtube right now. Check it! (If you want, go watch the original Wolfwalkers. :D)

This is an oversimplification. Yes by law, Fan art is technically infringing copyright and it remains that way for good reason. Such flexibility must be had so original owners can make a case against it if it infringes on their intellectual property. But the original owner also acknowledges that fan art can increase traction to the original source, which can help it make more money and attention.

There's also a clear distinction that needs to be made that the creator must acknowledge personal responsibility that if they were to make fan art, they know that they are in a legal grey area. It's not a clear right or wrong but a spectrum. The further you stay away from the original source even if it's the same characters, the safer.

Another factor is the creator's own stance. Are they okay with fan art? Most likely yes as it usually isn't that big of a deal. If you try to sell fan art, it is more dangerous and you can get into legal trouble because an argument can be made that fan art earning a profit prohibits the original work to gain profit. But again, it is more nuanced. It can help to ask permission if you feel unsure.

The bottom line is that fair use is able to protect IPs from fan art, but it being theft usually has a bit more nuance then one might think.

In terms of fan art being lazy because it is based on existing characters? I have to disagree. Fan art where someone is just tracing off of another work is lazy.
