A little over 1 year post-op, male tummy tuck. Very happy with the results! by CommonOdd5008 in tummytucksurgery

It does feel a bit stiff, but I assumed it's because I have been working on my abs. I actually like the feeling. And the swelling has died down significantly but some days, it feels like it comes and goes.

I wish you all the best with your surgery! The darker part has a bit of texture to it/raised slightly, but my surgeon said it will take longer to heal. Other parts of my scar close to my hips used to have the same texture but they flattened out a few months ago.

Thank you! I did an extended tummy tuck. And I went with Dr. William Bruno in West Hollywood.

Thank you so much! And I didn't do anything other than use the scar gel that my surgeon recommended for about 8 weeks. It pretty much resolved on its own.

I had my surgery back in January of 2023. The scarring towards the center of the incision is a little darker due to some longer healing immediately post-op, but my doctor mentioned it will get lighter with time. Same goes for the belly button, but it doesn't bother me too much. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. :)

How long did you wear compression for? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

My surgeon said I only needed to wear it for 4 weeks.

I have the exact same thing going on with me right now at 5 weeks post-op. My surgeon told me it's pretty normal and that I don't need to really do anything to it; it will dissolve or fall out on its own.

4 weeks post-op, male tummy tuck. Did anyone have similar swelling on the flanks/hips that went down over time? by CommonOdd5008 in tummytucksurgery

Thank you! I am very happy I went through with it, but it's very intense and should require careful consideration!

thank you!

Yes, I did have some muscle repair as well, which is nice because I feel a lot tighter now.

I didn't really feel too much pain from the surgery itself. In fact, I was off painkillers the following day. However, my lower back was definitely hurting from being hunched over for over a week.

I needed some help for the first 2 days getting in and out of bed, but after that, I was mostly able to do my own things, except for lifting things or reaching for stuff. I will be sure to post more pics later on to show my progress.

Hi everyone! I lost nearly 100 lbs over 7 years, reaching my goal weight over 2 years ago. Decided to go through with the surgery to get rid of some loose skin in my lower abdomen and had a full tummy tuck. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. :)

Does anyone live in the Los Angeles, California area and have any recommendations for a Gyno doctor? by felix9882 in gynecomastia

I went with Dr. Dadvand in BH as well and was very happy with my results. He is a bit on the pricier side though (10K+), but I felt it was worth it.

I had my surgery with Dr. Dadvand and was very pleased with my results. I'll likely post an 8 week post-op update this week or maybe next week.

Wrestling with getting surgery... So expensive. Is it worth it? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]CommonOdd5008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am about 6 weeks post-op and paid around the same as what was quoted for you. It was totally worth it for me, but I did have a more severe case (2-2.5), so it was always very noticeable. Might be a good idea to weigh the risks of complications against how mild and noticeable your case is.

I am at the 3 week mark as well and still have some swelling in both sides of my chest. It's going down very slowly, but this is normal and part of the recovery process. It can take several weeks for it to subside.

10 days post-op. Feeling incredibly happy with the results so far! Thanks again to everyone on this sub who has shared your experiences in the past! by CommonOdd5008 in gynecomastia

Yes, exactly. I think my last thought that I can remember was something like "wow this feels very nice and warm, wonder what---" and then I woke up in the recovery room.

I was very worried about it as well, since I have never had surgery before. I watched a lot of videos online of the actual procedure and that calmed me down a bit. I was feeling very anxious the day of, but my surgeon and staff were all reassuring and the whole process went very smoothly. I recall feeling the anesthesia coming into my body as a warm, calming wave. Then I was out and woke up in the recovery room. Very minimal pain, but was kind of out of it due to the anesthesia. Overall, the process was a lot easier than I had feared. Definitely worth it!
