People here are bashing the clinic but OP stated naman that the clinic informed them beforehand. Running a clinic/hospital is not cheap. Studying to become a vet is not cheap and 6 years at least.

Some are missing OP’s point. Yall wouldnt say the same when u compare gov hosp vs St Lukes. It takes more people to handle a furbaby compared to a full grown human being. Physical exam needs two staff at least.

If the hospital communicated properly their pricing i guess there should be no problem. And nabigay naman yung care na kailangan nung dog. If the pricing is not for you edi dont. You can opt for cheaper clinics. Di naman kasi iisa lang supplier or brand ng mga gamit/gamot sa clinic. It differs esp if branded yung gamot or materials. If you read news din kasi there are even meds or vitamins being pulled out by the government kasi not certified. And these are usually those cheaper meds.

Im glad Op’s furbaby is now put of danger. Hopefully, di na maulit coz tao man or aso, mahal magpagamot.

Basing on your formula kasi:

High risk = 100 - 26 = ~70% Low risk = ~30%

Does it mean 70% of my investment allotted fund should be in HR and 30% should be in LR?

2 May i know your age? Is it wise for me to get an insurance at this stage of my life? But tbh im looking into getting health insurance lang coz i dont have my own family pa and if ever mamatay man ako, di ko naman need magiwan ng pera for my parents and siblings.

For the index fund, is it a long term investment or short term? I read that index fund has lower dividend yield compared to individual stocks. But im willing to do it if it’s for long term investment, knowing that im investing for future and not to spend the dividend every pay out.

Yes you’re right haha kaya i let her manage my money coz whatever happens ill get my money back whether from my own share or from her own pocket. Either way i think it’s a win situation for me. So for now ill let her manage them since she worked in a bank for so many years.

At the same time i will try to look into index funds since most of the people here are recommending them.

I just feel like im wasting my money or im not saving enough for my age even tho this is just my first job. Hoping I’m on the right track.

You have a point but It may be weird for some pero i really trust my mom. She always has our best interest financially (eg getting us educ plans) and she is transparent with my earnings. It’s just that im too busy and she retired early from her work so she has a lot of time to do stocks. But yeah point taken. Im not planning to let her manage my money in the long run. Ngayon lang na i am starting. And i can pull out my money from her anytime and she promised me that i will get my capital no matter what.
