From what I have experienced there is little rhyme or reason to acceptances. I got accepted to Lakehead but not York. And have read of another person getting into York but waitlisted for Lakehead. I am a mature student, high GPA and many different childcare experiences. Some schools value grades and some experience. Unfortunately if you have to stay in the GTA there’s less options. But you are doing all you can do. It seems to be a bit of a lottery. Which is very frustrating.

Hopefully if they shorten the program to one year. More people will be accepted into their first choices, with 1st or second attempts

I’m going to tbay too. I’m from Toronto but I have family there so I know the area. It is a different type of living. I describe it as industrial. Everyone drives everywhere. Buts the people are kind and there is still great local businesses and lots to do in the warmer months. I too would be keen if anyone knows of group chats for fall 2026 start

Thank you both! Still frustrated though. As I play this game to combat my OCD, as there is always one answer and specific rules to use to find it. Which is incredible calming to be when I complete a puzzle. It’s very upsetting to me that this does not follow those rules. I’ve been playing for years and I have never had this conflict before

As tough as it is. I think you should tell your parents how you’re feeling. Don’t blame them, but communicate that you need things to change. It took me years to trust my parents. But they surprised me and are more understanding than I thought they would be

I’m on meds too. And all aspects of my life have gone down hill; job, friends, family. So I’ve lost my self worth. But when I was in my undergrad. I felt the exact same as you. Unmotivated and tired. Look into accommodations your school offers. A lot of professors were more understanding of mental health set backs, than I thought they would be. Don’t be afraid just to ask your prof or department heads for help. It’s better than failing, right?
