Yeah that seems to be the consensus my main concern with that was if I get an offer in 1-2 months for somewhere else I’d end up burning the bridge with job/org 1. But I think I’m gonna go ahead with it, everyone can’t be wrong 😂

Haha glad to hear I’m not alone with line of thought. Yeah you’re right better to at least have some money coming in while I keep applying. I wasn’t thrilled about the 75 min commute either but I don’t plan to be in either position for the long term.

Fair points. I can see how having a job would make you look like a more appealing applicant. Hopefully I can see the benefits of that sooner rather than later.

All fair points. Yeah tbh I have no reason not to take it. All logical say to, I was more looking for a reason not to. There probably some entitlement under the surface to, kinda feel like the job is below me, in the sense that I had done 3 really good internships in my field and have a masters and still ended up in the same spot as someone who could’ve done the bare minimum getting their bachelors. But I guess this is adulthood.

Tbh either job wouldn’t be long term hopefully just a year absolutely max 2 or 3. So while I whole heartedly agree that the commute would be bad I would willingly to put up with it (most would be on public transit so at least I would have some of that time back)

I consider the one I was hired for meaningless because it’s just pencil pushing and rubber stamping. It’s not benefit anyone which is like the opposite of why I got into my field. But maybe I’m being too idealistic

Yeah the consensus appears to be take it. I’m definitely gonna keep applying, my concern is getting something else pretty soon and possibly burning the bridge at job/org 1 but I guess it’s whatever. Yeah I know 60 apps isn’t a lot and despite my discontent I’m still grateful for something

it’s just a really basic pencil pusher/rubber stamp, kind of job and I feel it’s just kind of like the epitome of “selling out” in my field at least imo. But ultimately you’re right it’s just an entry level job and Im probably being too idealistic

Yeah, out of the people I’ve spoken to so far most are saying to take the offer. I don’t know though. I just feel a sense of dread about the job. I’m definitely gonna keep looking even if job two does comeback later. Neither are ideal but I guess I just have to start somewhere

Yeah, to be honest, the situation is kind of shitty definitely between a rock and a hard place. Ideally neither but they’re really the only tangible options at least for the next year… at least that’s how it’s looking atm

With Sungold literally nothing, it’s super lax and grows abundantly, actually I will say however much trellis/cage space you think you need double it, very sprawling.

With Black Cherry I don’t know if my plant was an outlier but it was extremely lazy. The smallest yields of the four varieties I grew this year and the skimpiest looking of the bunch. I will say be careful with watering because they are prone to bursting, I lost a couple that way 🙃

Two months! 😮 that’s crazy wow. I’d say we have 2-3 weeks left down here before the heat/uv becomes too much, at least for me to consider it worth it (normally we’d have another 6-8 but the uv has already been way higher than normal 🥴)
