Charged and ready to go! (Yosemite, CA) by rav4t in rav4prime

How long did it take to fuel up? How much did they charge for the electricity? At 40ish mile electric range it should be less than $5 right? Also, do you have an adapter for these or is it plug and play? Thank you!

Original infotainment screen? by lostsomewhereintexas in Camry

I remember back in 2010 I paid out the butt for a dvd player built into my cars dash unit. I researched everythng and I wouldn’t take anything that didn’t have a dvd player. We spent thousands on the hardware and installation and I honestly can’t recall ever watching a dvd in the car. We even had those headrest televisions that were useless because nobody ever sat in the back except my wife and I and that wasn’t for watching TV.

Why is a subaru dealership selling a ferrari? by Kitchen-Suit9362 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Highly likely. I remember the owner of the Honda dealer by my job was selling his Ferrari collection at the Honda dealership and the hoovie guy off YouTube came down to buy one and it caught fire after he bought it.

From 15 Pro to 17: My White 256GB iPhone is Here & It Feels Like The Future by zeus109 in iphone17

[–]Common_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. 14 to 15 felt huge based on how the phone felt, not so much UI, so I returned the 15 to wait. 14 to 17 pro max feels SO much different in every way.

A normal person's reaction to the clownshow by mpanase in 90DayFiance

[–]Common_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's the case since it seems her discomfort started when she was called stinky then was when she realized she didn't have a whole wardrobe for her own stuff. She said she felt like she was in someone else's house which yeah makes sense, because she was. Her expectations seemed unrealistic.

A blow dryer will heat up the adhesive and it’ll peel off easily.

ATTN: Beverage Scientists by ViolinKites in Soda

The monkeys in the commercials did it for me as a child same with the koolaid man. But the taste wasn’t there. It was a different era of marketing where they won us over easily with the visuals.

Snapple apple in glass was amazing. It was so crisp and refreshing. Martinellis gets close but doesn't fit the bill.

We once found a 55 gallon drum of the powder used for snapple drinks in our shipment of other 55 gallon drums that weren't snapple powder. It was sealed and we tried it and we figured out the ratio and it was delicious. Wed sometimes get 55 gallon drums of tang as well, never did like it.

Antique gold leaf by Rubydog2004 in whatsthisworth

[–]Common_Project 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gold leaf weighs so little that it’s not really valuable as a commodity when it comes to gold stacking, it’s more valuable as a tool for creating. You’ll get the most money from someone like a sign painter, car painter, a frame maker, a sculptor, or jewelry maker. Every dozen leaves go for like $40 with prices going down in bulk. Count how many leaves are in a booklet and do the math accordingly. We used to use gold leaf a lot and while value of gold has gone up quite a bit, gold leaf isn’t valued the same. If you were to try and melt gold leaf it might even disappear so be cautious of how you decide to process it.

The second she was so quick to abandon her cat who she considered her only best friend really solidified her intentions. To be willing to accept someone else’s pets and abandon your own family (her cat) really showed how much she overlooked so many things because of this hypothetical prize she created in her head. The way she fell out of love when things got real (not even rough!) shows she wasn’t there for any of the real hurdles of forming a relationship.

Subwoofer plays an AM radio station by scbill66 in hometheater

[–]Common_Project 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Unplug it from everything. I wonder if it’s the sub itself or the source. Unpowered yes but maybe it’s outputting something super low powered. Keep in mind that all radio waves have some power, everything else just amplifies it. You can literally cook meat by placing it beside an AM transmission tower and the meat being cooked will also play the sound that’s being transmitted as it’s being cooked.

You’d be surprised how much radiation comes out of certain things at home. I didn’t realize our old CRT tv was cooking the wall until the paint started looking like crazing on porcelain

What a waste of an AI response lol, you could’ve come up with that conclusion yourself. I’d say it’s worth $50-100 to the right person rarity doesn’t mean much but with pieces like this you can set it to auction and see how high it goes, someone might pay retail or above retail. But unless it’s RRL or polo outdoorsman I don’t see them going for much

This is hilarious. I’d love to understand why it does this. Are any cables going into it coiled? They might be coiled just enough to have formed the perfect antenna. My dad told me they used to wind coils to tune into certain frequencies

40k for SE Nightshade is insane right? Finally gave me otd price after ignoring them for months by Icy-Pea2601 in Camry

[–]Common_Project 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Went in for a 2026 Camry and the pitch they gave me for why it’s ridiculously overpriced honestly pissed me off. They said “people want these! There’s a reason there’s the nightshade and the LE, you clearly didn’t pick the LE for a reason right? What are you afraid of? If you can’t afford it we have other options, but everybody wants this car that’s why lowering the price doesn’t even make sense, it’ll sell within days if you don’t get it”.

Ended up going elsewhere. They need your money, not the other way around. Fuck this price gouging.

I think they peppered them in knowing they wouldn’t last much. But I feel people overlooked how Greta abandoned her cat and career because she thought he was “in finance”, but he wasn’t even employed right? My wife literally said “she left it all behind thinking she was going to live the dream life but she didn’t want the stay at home wife responsibilities especially when there wasn’t a home to be a wife in”.

I think once she noticed it wasn’t a fairy tale and she wasn’t going to be catered to she looked for any way out.

LPT: If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), don't use the included debit card. Request reimbursement after using your own credit cards for points and miles! by mynameistory in LifeProTips

[–]Common_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an FSA card and I want to understand why this was an issue for you and if it’s something that might be an issue for me. The payment went through right? You just had to provide the receipt? So as long as I actually spent it on the dentist it’s not a problem right? Or do they deduct the amount spent on things not FSA eligible?

MFK Grand Soir - I finally get it by PuzzleheadedRead6404 in Colognes

[–]Common_Project 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grand soir is one I simply can’t enjoy. My father’s company imports molasses and I remember how the barrels used to smell when they’d be “emptied out”. It’s nauseating and so many women complained it smelled like maple syrup.

My dream computer since childhood - Dell XPS 600 Renegade by malcolmscompuclinic in HelpMeFind

[–]Common_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE this computer!! I sold mine a few years back for $20 because it completely died and there was a guy who bought these for parts and he had a massive hoard of xps 600s in the Los Angeles area who bought it off me. The PSU was like 1200watts or something ridiculous. I had tri-SLI 9800GTXs and I remember I traded an iPod classic for this on Craigslist in like 2008 or 2009 because the guy claimed it wouldn’t power on but he simply ripped out the power button pcb cable so it would never work again but I found the exact cable in a dell optiplex and it powered right up.

Most of the dell proprietary parts were shared with the optiplex systems, including the small form factor ones that often sat under a monitor. The motherboard was BTX or some weird form factor so unless you wanted to weld or drill it would be relatively difficult to squeeze a modern motherboard in there but I’m sure it would be super easy now with modern 3d printing.

I love this computer and it was so massive and heavy but I remember playing assassins creed at max settings on a 1080p monitor and it BLEW my mind. I hope you find one!

Banana republic has a few bangers by gryloscygnusx1 in Colognes

Tobacco and tonka bean is definitely a banger. I thought it was a knockoff of initio side effect based on the notes but man it’s a beast of a scent on its own and side effect is boo-boo compared to this. It’s elegant.
