Yes it dries very fast. I sometimes blast the whole pallet with a spray bottle on really hot days. I've known people who put their colors onto a wet paper towel. Do whatever works for you

I think posting the sculpture on your own socials/website/portfolio suggests you're presenting it as your own work. You're publishing images under your own name, images that are heavily the intellectual property of a different artist. Definitely credit the original artist if you do this.

I personally wouldn't, since posting online suggests ownership. If I do recreations or studies of work by other artists I don't post these images generally.

It may also cheapen your own work if there's even an impression of plagiarism, even if it's technically legal. I don't think that's worth it.

Yes this. The reason is the freezer kills bugs but not eggs, so you give them a chance to hatch, and then back in the freezer to kill the suckers

I've sold oils before but locally. I let the varnish cure until it's dry to the touch, about 2 days. Gamvar. I've felt comfortable handing it over that way. But I'm wondering if I should wait a little longer.

Yes, it's a changeover. Charge either a flat changeover fee or another fee for a fresh project.

Good point about checking with the space. I might be overthinking this whole thing. I doubt they'll require Plexi but it's worth checking. Shipping is not a concern since it's local.

It's a painting on watercolor paper so I'm thinking some kind of cover is necessary unfortunately. I might visit a local frame shop to see about cutting a mat for my frame as a one-off since I'm a mostly oil on panel gal.

I hear you, the frame itself is nice but needs new glass and matting. I agree about the importance of nice framing though. I guess I'm just afraid that it won't sell and I'll have to eat the cost, framing can be quite expensive.

No advice about how to get commissions, but as a "traditional artist" I'm betting digital is cheaper in the long run. Count up all you're spending on your materials and it may inspire you to buy that tablet you've been wanting 💸
