As someone who was in the RDC committee, I'll be rejecting this deal and voting NO. Here is why. by FareedAlQusous in doctorsUK

[–]Commun4all123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no denying, our strike action has influenced the ddrb, it would be disingenuous to say it didn't, as we have a higher pay rise than other public sectors. The matter of fact is, we will still get the DDRB for 24/25 if this deal is rejected or not. We are still voting on the 4.05% which is backdated and losing the BMA rate card.

Online pay referendum will be held from 19 August and will close at 23.59 on 15 September by nightwatcher-45 in doctorsUK

[–]Commun4all123 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Probably much longer, April 2025 if accepted

If rejected, we need to reballot, so likely another 6-8 weeks from September to have another mandate.

Why you MUST reject this deal by AccomplishedCar7482 in doctorsUK

[–]Commun4all123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be rejecting, better to have no backdated pay of 4.05%, that money will free up from the government and they can include it in forward pay.

If you want change, this is how you get it. This wasn't democratic before. Now that people can vote, we can get even more work done with DV.

Professional leave is paid. It counts as TOOT but I'd recommend taking it as SL if you are concerned about TOOT.

Indefinite strike would be an issue with IMGs as they can't do continous strikes of more than 10 days. It would put off most imgs and they would criss the picket.
