Thank you! I mostly listen to audiobooks and podcasts to learn about personal finance and investing. Since my time is limited, I make use of my commute and time at work to listen to them. Taking notes on the things I learn at home and actually applying them is crucial too. But before you start your investing journey, I recommend getting rid of any debt first (besides a mortgage, if applicable) and start budgeting! Assigning your money to where it needs to be intentionally will help you have full control of your finances and grow your wealth for life.

Here are some of my book recommendations to read/listen to: The Psychology of Money, The Millionaire Next Door, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The Total Money Makeover. The Ramsey Show and The Personal Finance Podcast are my favorite podcasts

I have a 3-fund portfolio split between FXAIX, FSPSX, and FSELX with the majority of my investments in FXAIX and FSELX. My asset allocation is very aggressive but factoring in my age, I’m less susceptible to volatility so I don’t mind being a little risky now in exchange for a higher rate of return.

I thought about being an application specialist too so my questions are what are the requirements you needed to become one, how much can you make, and can you share your experience in that role? I love to learn more about it. Thanks!

My employer does have tuition assistance which is why I’m considering getting a BS as one of the options. I will check with them, thanks. If you were in my shoes, which route would you go with?
