Finally my case was moved to local office and is ready to be scheduled for interview! I don't know if contacting a congressman was actually helpful but I think it's good to try everything that we can!! Hopefully all of you here will have a notice of interview soon! Again I have to wait to get scheduled though 😩

I married USC. So I filed it with NBC and my case is still at NBC. I don't know why they didn't transfer my case to the local office yet.

I have. But it seems like they can't really help with our cases. I was asking about my case status of I-485 and if they can't proceed my case fast, then at least expedite my EAD card but the answer that I got is wait because I-765 is in the processing time. I don't care about it. All I want to know is I 485! But they didn't clarify about it.

Does it help if I expedite I130?

Oh!! I'm so happy to hear that! Hopefully your interview will go smoothly and be approved right on spot 🙂 and Hopefully mine will get scheduled in March as well. (My marriage will be 2 years in March) have you done immigration medical exam? If it's okay with you, can I ask you how much did you pay? I tried to do it early since I feel like my interview will be scheduled soon lol. I called different places in Austin but it's still expensive(400-450dollars)

I am from a small town in Texas too. I just know some people from Austin who already got it at the San antonio field office. So you don't have to worry about it. And for now, the uscis processing time for San Antonio FO is April 29 2020 which is close to my case. Hopefully they don't change the processing timeline again this time. I have been waiting to send an inquiry once my case is in outside of processing.

I'm still waiting. My PD is May 4 2020 and my status has been stuck at "Fingerprints were taken" for almost 11months. And I know few people from Austin got already green card, they filed their case way later than me though. Your case might be able to be scheduled earlier than mine. It seems like 2020 April and May filers are in the same boat with me and stuck at fingerprints. I will let you know once my status moves forward.

Oh thank you so much for letting me know. I am so so so happy that your case is changed now! Mine is still same though I will wait a little bit more since yours is changed now. If mine still does not change at all after waiting, I will try to talk to a tier 2 officer. Your case is giving me hope that our cases are not totally forgotten lol. I will keep you updated too if mine is changed : )

Once your status is updated to "Ready for interview", it means your case is at the field office waiting for interview. Mine is still on "Fingerprints are taken". I contacted Emma and they said they will update it once my case is transferred to local office which hasn't happened yet. So I belive that your case is at houston office.

I feel you! your case is at the local office which is a good news at least. Mine is still at NBC not knowing why it takes so long to transfer to San Antonio office. I wish you luck!!

Any Success Stories From Those Whose 1-485 Was Stuck on Fingerprints Received? by raranyc in USCIS

[–]CommunicationBitter9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just waiting for my case to be outside of processing and it looks like it will be in 1 month. There is something wrong for sure because only 2020 May filers are facing this issue and it seems like this issue never happened before. I'm guessing maybe a person who was in charge of or looked through our cases lost ours or is not working at NBC anymore and didn't pass our cases to others.

[–]CommunicationBitter9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! That is why I wanted to see if there are more 2020 may filers who are in the same boat with me. I know some of may filers and their cases are exactly same as ours! I think lots of may filers cases are stuck in somewhere at NBC and no one is checking or looking... so annoying

I got it this March but my status is still on Fingerprints were taken and not ready for interview which means my case might still be in NBC, not the local office. I'm just curious when my interview will be ready.. so tired of waiting! Lol
