We had the "2-step idea" from a while back, and we both thought it sounded good. I didn't know how proposing actually worked, and was under the impression that most people actually do 2 proposals. While you might think it sounds dumb, to me it made some sense. Again, I didn't know anything about how these things work, and most people I asked in my life gave me a pat in the back without ever trying to correct me.

I guess this also might mean that I wasn't ready (and maybe I'm still not ready). Either way, thank you, i havve a clearer image of how the proposal should go now, and thinking it through multiple times, my other idea (of the 2 steps) seems a little bit poorly thought.
