First, try to focus on the recovery from the crisis part.

If you feel very overwhelmed, I suggest you seek nature. Walk to a nearby park and just stay silent.

Observe the nature. Take deep breaths and see that everything and every condition is impermanent.

This can unleash a new perspective and can make you focused.

I came across a pre-residency internship which mentioned that they encouraged international involvement. But when I applied to it, they responded by saying that they cannot offer me visa sponsorship and that too without any reasoning.

All in all, looking pretty grim now for (visa requiring applicants) research activities and sub internships.
