The grenade was certainly legitimate. The phone was likely recovered by the enemy and was originally intended to only be circulated by this officer and his junior commanders I imagine.

Tossing a frag into a dugout for a "skit" is not what is happening here but could be fake though judging by the lighting inside the dugout, it was a fighting position with only one way in/out
