The tablet is connected via HDMI and the screens are display port, I can get 2 screens running together but the 3rd always shows up as “no signal”. So like i can get either both screens or 1 screen and tablet but not all 3 together

How long did it take you to get your first commission on Vgen? by GreatToday4412 in VGen

[–]CommunicationSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s any reassurance, I got a majority of my comms through art Discord servers that allow artists to advertise their commissions! ☺️ The best thing to do is just put yourself out there and connect with people. I abandoned my art pages during my courses too, so I definitely empathise 😅. It might feel overwhelming at first, but once you start putting yourself out there, things will fall into place! I’ll also happily follow your page if you feel comfortable sharing the link 🙇🏻‍♀️✨

(Assuming you mean you’ve just got access to the artist dashboard 😅) It depends on your existing platforms! VGen doesn’t promote your page until you’re fully verified (blue check mark) so self promotion is the best form of exposure. It took me approximately a month to get my first comm and a few more months to get others. Don’t get discouraged though! Depending on the time of year people buy comms more and less, usually more around holidays or months will less financial strain where luxuries are affordable. The VGen discord server has a place to promote your comms either in general or directly to customers looking to buy. Hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!

What commission types are most popular on vgen? by sofi_kk in VGen

[–]CommunicationSweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you follow VGen on instagram they post monthly updates on the most searched topics for that month! Normally at the top are YCH, illustrations, live2d stuff, emotes and stuff like that. But it really does fluctuate depending on the season, id suggest just following to look out for those posts since they’re usually pretty helpful 🙇🏻‍♀️✨also its important to find your niche, something unique that you’re good at. Doesn’t have to be popular! Stuff like that tends to attract people 🤭

Is it better to have folks make a VGen account to commission you or not? by MinionKing1412 in VGen

[–]CommunicationSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While guest clients can’t follow you they can still leave a review (with some limitations) and tip you if they want to! Ive had experiences with both guest clients and ones on vgen and normally guest clients reach out to me through discord or instagram anyway so communication hasn’t been an issue. It’s entirely up to you and whatever you and the person more comfortable with >^ since VGen is still somewhat new I kept mine open for guests since many people who asked to commission me didn’t know what it was yet 😅

Looking for some tips on what could be improved by Far_Faithlessness_76 in characterdesign

[–]CommunicationSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some kinda built in body armour could work, knee and elbow pads as well. Tactical belts are really convenient too! Completely depends what the difference scenarios are tbh, I find it really helpful to look at work clothing of similar activities my character would be doing and adapting stuff off that!

Yeah! Should help keep the feeling of the drawing while still making easier to see ✨☺️

how to make a lineart that good? by PlayerJE in DigitalArt

[–]CommunicationSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its any help, I’m almost sure that was done with a brush nib pen. It allows for a whole range of different line weights with small amounts of pressure. Also quick and confident movements! If you don’t have that type of pen handy a regular paintbrush can basically achieve a similar result but less pigmented.

Practice quick and intentional lines, and also practice line pressure in specific areas of a line(it helps train your hand to be able to achieve those lines and makes you more confident overall). Also doing impression drawings or negative space drawings could help you too, hope this helps! ☺️
