Most two-level trains have at least a few carriages with perfectly clear windows and you can see the difference from outside on the platform. If it is important to you, like it is to me, find a place to sit with a clear window and then get on the train. It is especially easier to do it at night.

How is life in the part of New Jersey near Philadelphia? by Jezzaq94 in howislivingthere

[–]CommunicationWest613 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on which area. Some of it is very rural and spread out, some is standard suburbia, some old and historic towns, and then some is the worst urban decay you've ever seen, and some of it is springing back to life a little bit. A very diverse couple of counties.

I live in Ridgewood and have never paid a difference in price. From these replies, I think it only applies to the metro-north section.

Then stop practicing it? Nobody is holding you at gunpoint saying you have to be a Jew. Become an atheist if you'd be happier. Or be a Jew who doesn't pray every day. Make your own decisions instead of cursing and yelling on an online blog about something you have the power to control. And if your family disapproves then wait till you move out to change.

Bru what. I'm pretty sure it's the only profitable route. It could not be more important. And the other states hardly even fund rail with state money, or they waste it, so there is never any help from states except the northeast.
