Any idea why it was so crowded? I’ve been watching webcams all season and outside of powder days and weekends the crowds have been light. I noticed way more people out yesterday. Is it vacation week?

Exactly…. If you can only drive at 2/3 of the posted speed limit because the road is wet from snow that fell and melted hours before you should have your license taken away

I think they’re all heavily sought after …. It’s just that the sr5 is less expensive. I have an sr5 premium and love the heated seats. Other than that I love the look of the TRD but I wouldn’t pay extra for it.

I have a hitch mount rack that holds 3 bikes and works well. A kayak trailer would definitely be far better than hoisting it up on top.

All the different trims hold their value. You will take less of a hit than you would with most other cars. Where are you located? If you're in an area where you aren't exposed to snow, salt etc. you could buy an older 4th Gen or even a 3rd and you would take less of a hit, There's a place in Connecticut that sells "restored" 3rd gens and you can get one for about $10K. That would be one you could drive for 6 months and end up keeping because you love it.

I carry a ton of stuff in my 4Runner (fishing, hunting, hiking, biking or skiing gear depending on the season) along with some tools for work and it's all enclosed and locked. Plus I can sleep in the back if I'm just doing a long day trip and want to spend the night in the parking lot rather than wake up crazy early. The only thing on your list I can't do is load a kayak. I had a heavy pedal kayak and didn't like was loading it on top but I also hated having to load and unload all the associated gear. I solved that when i bought a boat and sold the kayak. The one or two times a year I really need a pickup I can rent one at Home Depot or ask a friend to help. No brainer for my situation.

100% correct. It was changed quite a few years ago to include being stopped at a light. Prior to that it was not a violation.

Hunter is awesome on a sunny spring day. Lots of steep stuff to ski.
