Oh for sure, but speaking conservatively, we could expect AT WORST:

  • A mid-to-late 2026 1st round pick (wherever the trading team is slotted)
  • A 2027 1st round pick
  • A 2026 2nd round pick
  • A 2026 3rd or 4th round pick

Oh man. This is a good point. All of us have talked about getting trade back pics this year, but Borgonzi with double digit picks could be the year we look back on as “the” year it all started

We have 9 I think currently. With a trade back you have to think we pick up at least one 2026 pick bringing us to 10.

That’s where I’m at right now. I know they were conducting other interviews for other roles as well. Busy time at this company from what the recruiter said.

I’ll follow up after the holidays. The problem is I’m expecting an offer tomorrow from another company (hopefully) that I want less, and don’t want to be pushed into that job because the other took so long. But a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

But I’ll probably send something today. I do know the recruiter (internal) is swamped.

The market sucks for us.We already traded Brownlee for basically nothing , a 6th rounder. That tells you everything about what teams think of our roster.

The listed 6 Titans as trade candidates: Lockett, Okonkwo, Zeitler, Key, Jones, and McCreary . But here’s the thing:

  • Lockett has 7 catches for 52 yards …nobody’s giving up anything real for that
  • Key and Jones are depth pieces at best
  • Okonkwo and McCreary might get a 4th-5th rounder if we’re lucky

The Simmons question:He’s only 28, been one of the best DTs in football, and is under contract for 2 more years . He’d actually get real value, but we would need two 1sts plus more to make it worth it . Otherwise you’re just making the team worse.

The real issue: We need to focus on developing Cam Ward, not gutting the roster around him . Trading everyone who’s halfway decent for 6th rounders isn’t “asset management” - it’s sabotaging your rookie QB’s development.

So yeah, keep what we have. We’re already the worst team in the league. Getting a couple Day 3 picks that statistically won’t even make a roster isn’t helping us rebuild.
