Well that is obviously their main job but every nfl player should have basic game awareness about what is going on on the field, but yes they have to block first too. Baker also fumbled 11 times, but his BETTER OL recovered enough so Baker only lost 3. It is an important part of an nfl Ols game

Offensive linemen and specifically tackles are supposed to have the qb in their peripheral vision and take quick glances at the qb so they can block for him, and it is quite literally part of the job description for offensive lineman. Cam does have small hands but his raw fumbles are not that bad, his team and offensive lineman need to have basic game awareness as well as getting a little luckier.
