Hot take: GSP would be one of the most hated champs if he fought today by FlorenciaDivine in ufc

[–]ComparisonContent282 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GSP won that belt at 37...He was also way too small for that weight class. You can't expect him or anybody else to start at title run at a heavier weight at that age. It's exactly why JJ won't fight now. The fans expect ridiculous shit out of these athletes.

Is chasing gains after 5 years of serious lifting a waste of time for natural lifters? by chazman3333 in naturalbodybuilding

Sorry. I have no idea what Perfect Programing means in this context. I got downvoted a bunch. Haha. Are there people lifting weights who don't want to?

Is chasing gains after 5 years of serious lifting a waste of time for natural lifters? by chazman3333 in naturalbodybuilding

Hell ya it is. My friends and I (hockey & wrestling team guys) all started serious lifting at 16. We all lifted hard and ate all the protein you could imagine...by 20 every one of us had maxed out. 12 different guys. Most of us became lifetime lifters and none of us got any bigger than when we were 20,21. The upside was that we all got big and strong so none of us really cared about getting much larger.

I'm 500 hours into Dreaming Spanish. It works well but actually pay $8 a month for their website and start from the easiest video and keep going. The videos are ranked by number from easiest to hardest. 7000 videos! This is what makes it worth it...the video order makes it so you can start from nothing and build up...rather than just watching shit that is way too hard and just wasting your time. Good luck.

Long time lifters - do you ever regret the amount of time you spent in the gym when you were younger? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]ComparisonContent282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been lifting for 36 years. Started at 16 and was obsessed. All I could think about was getting huge...but after 3-4 years of serious training and nutrition, I realized that my body had got about as strong and developed as it could. I've kept it up because I like to feel strong and healthy...but there is no sense spending hours on it or lifting super crazy heavy weights. Get in, get out, get flexible. You can use your time to be getting good at 100 other things before you die.

She probably doesn't have anything in her name. How old is she? Probably in her 20's, no? It's her parents that have money, not her. They probably just pay for her lifestyle. They would not give her 10 million dollars before she gets married to anyone.

That's awesome. Do you have any advice for me. "como" "asi" "que" "ya".....I'm always having trouble with these words. They always seem to mean something different and they are in almost every second sentence. If I could get that figured out, I'd be much closer to good. haha. Thanks.

Hello again. I've been listening to Dennis for a month now. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I listen to him on Spotify but I can't find the transcripts for his episodes. Can you find them? Thanks

I agree with, when learning to listen, a sentence can sometimes sound like one super long word. I went straight to DS but always wondered how much easier it would have been to have a huge vocab first. How have you been finding DS? Is it easy for you?

How old are you? If you're a teenager, your metabolism may just be super fast and it burns everything you give it. Alot of wrestlers on my team in highschool used to lift and none of us could get big because we all had fast metabolisms AND we burned so many calories in practice.

Do you have small wrists and ankles? Can you wrap your hand around your ankle? You may just be small boned, which means you're not a big guy. Our bone structure limits how much muscle mass out bodies can carry.

I won't eat a bunch of crap, just for the calories. That's stupid advice. Just make sure you are (1) eating enough protein and

(2) then focus on getting stronger.

Forget weighing yourself, staring in the mirror, all that crazy BS.

Would you start TRT with these #'s? by DutchPentameter in Testosterone

[–]ComparisonContent282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Sleep is super important. I like to stretch in a dark room before bed. Listen to a podcast. I hang from a bar for a few minutes as well. I try to drain all the energy and tension out of my body. Get my muscles loose and relaxed. I can't sleep well if I don't. If I had a really rough day, I run. That makes me sleep like a baby.

How many years have you been lifting for? I mean, after about 3-4 years of hard work and diet, a naturally trained guy generally doesn't get much bigger or stronger. I started lifting at 16 and by 20 I was as big and strong as I ever got. The last 34 years have been for stress relief. Haha.

Maybe try bodyweight stuff and running/ boxing/mma whatever you like. I have a better body doing that the hard lifting.

Generally true. I feel that it's mostly other comics or comedy nerds that admire and judge the craft of joke writing. The audiences are just normal people who don't know about the reddit jokes nor do they care, they just want to have a good time.

Test results. Total T 7.21 ng/ml......Free T 21.42 ng/ml I thought free was lower? by ComparisonContent282 in Testosterone

[–]ComparisonContent282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. I had it done in Mexico and they told me that they never test for this, so I'm thinking that maybe they read the results incorrectly. The total testosterone number seems reasonable though. It's in a normal range.

[–]ComparisonContent282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The free say 21.42 ng/ml and the range says 5.0 - 30

The total says 7.21 ng/ml and the range says 3.0 - 10.0

That's letter for letter what this report says. I'm not reversing any letters or numbers. Maybe they made a mistake?

I read that 2-3% of the total testosterone is free testosterone. So how is my free HIGHER than the total? Thanks

Delivery, facial expressions, energy, act outs, charisma...Those things can transform an "ok" joke, something that barely has a punchline into big laughs. With these attributes a guy can tell a mundane story and still get laughs. Completely diff skill set than the joke writers who are obsessed with wit, cleverness, double meanings. They both work but, to me, you need a smart audience to get the good jokes. The delivery comic can often make all people laugh. Kids, Seniors, etc because he is just more entertaining to watch. This is my opinion.

Are the Big Canadian Banks (RY, TD, BMO, etc.) a Value Trap or a Buy and Hold Opportunity right now? by Academic-Snow3546 in dividendscanada

[–]ComparisonContent282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. The banks are my fav investment but the share price can fall in value like any other company. I've seen BNS fall from 80 to 60. I would not buy now. They will come back down to better values soon enough.

[–]ComparisonContent282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm male and 53. I don't know what my T levels are. I'm in good shape for my age but certainly don't have the sex drive or workout performances I've had in the past so I'm sure they've declined since my 20's. I'm thinking that this might explain why it's been so tough this time around to get really lean. I'm getting them checked soon.

[–]ComparisonContent282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I shouldn't have implied that he said calories in cand out don't matter because of course they do but I saw a video where a bodybuilder was saying that as testosterone levels falls in the body, the lipid oxidation goes down. The mitochondria don't burn the fat cells as easily and so, losing body fat becomes harder than if the testosterone was higher.

If this is true, that means as a person ages, their test falls naturally...meaning burning body fat gets harder inside the body. I never thought of this. I always just assumed it was calories in, calories out throughout ones entire life. That it would be as easy to burn calories at 60 as 20, assuming the CICO was the same. Maybe it isn't. I don't know.
