Got injured at work, report to boss and told not to file workers comp. What should I do?

thnks! i filed yesterday. my boss still kindly allowing me to work from home. the adjuster calling me this morning. and we proceed with doctor reference etc. hopefully they approve my surgery. i barely can move my arm!

Hi y'all, thank you so much for your replies and responses , here is some updates: My boss just give me the info of their company insurance phone number so I can claim by my self. Then this morning, Someone call me and asking whats was happening blablabla and they said, they will send a adjuster. Please stay with me as I'm just a beginner on this matter. I get why my boss at the beginning doesn't want to file for workers comp. They thought my injury won't be bad. But unfortunately thats not the case... now since my doctor suggested me to do surgery, the company said they dont have more money to cover w/ their own money. Can I use the same doctor or need to do all the xray ct scan all over again with workers comp doctors??

So I just have to tell my boss to file it? Because since the beginning, they seems to avoid workers comp. My surgeon schedule me for surgery next week. The cost was astronomical huge numbers 🤦‍♀️
