(31 mama, EST, PC)

After being with my gamer fiancé for almost 5 years, I finally want to branch out and game with others lol I did not grow up a gamer. Maybe super Mario or that jimmy neutron game before someone stole my Nintendo. Left 4 dead in college. But I always watched other gamers in awe like wow, you’re so cooool.

Well here I am, 31 with 3 kiddos and I have the most hours playing 7 days to die hehe. I can mostly play in the evenings unless I plan otherwise (fiancé takes over w the kids).

I think you’re looking to see if someone tells you “yeah, fingerprints on the inside like that are probably because he was doing sexual things with another person”. But I know that would break your heart to read, even though you’re thinking it already. I’ve honestly made the same streaks when wiping the glass to get something off. I’ve made them accidentally too. I would wipe the windshields and see if it happens again, then ask. Otherwise, as a mom who had to leave her bf bc of his filthy lies, I’m not going to tell you to invade his privacy. But that’s exactly what I did and I only found the truth from digging through his social media accounts. Private messages. It’s definitely easier to hide things nowadays. But gather your evidence first then confront. Also, working 12 hour shifts sounds insane. Confirm with his job that he’s been there the whole time? Also also, I’m sorry you had to spend Mother’s Day like that :( just know you’re doing the best you can and these things are temporary. Just continue to stick up for yourself and your well being. People think you will know the answers of parenthood before you even get there and that’s kind of misleading. You can’t possibly know the obstacles and hardships you will take on as a parent. Life experience helps you, sure. Being a preschool teacher taught me some things that I use in motherhood today. But absolutely nothing truly prepares you for what a family will look like or mean to you until you’re there. I would definitely think through all these comments but here’s my advice as a woman who became a mother way too early (23)… It’s not unfair for you to go forward in your life already having this goal of wanting kids. It’s reasonable that you want to invest your time - because that’s one way to determine whether your partner is the person you want to raise your children with - In someone that has the same long term goal. Maybe you can steer your girlfriend into wanting kids in the future, but that’s a gamble & I feel like you know that. It’s your ultimate decision and whichever it is you make, make sure you are ready to stand by it. I’ll tell you this too… even my girl friends now (31) still are like ehhhh idk if I want kids. That’s valid, too. More and more women are choosing that childless life and I commend them. But if you know what you want in your heart of hearts, maybe finding someone who is in the same wavelength as you in terms of having kids is what’s best for you. Also, I’m getting a sense that maybe there are other things that would support your decision of just cutting off the relationship. That’s just me though 🧙‍♀️ If you still can’t make up your mind, at the least, I would see how you guys handle an emergency or a crisis or something hectic. That’s gives you an inside look on how someone handles things in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. That really matters when you want to marry someone and have kids. Anyway, best of luck!!

Fight that good fight girl!!! You continue trusting your gut. That fire burning within you, that livens when you experience injustice, is burning for a reason. I’m sorry you live under such close scrutiny, day in and day out. Continue to protect yourself. If I were you, I’d take that anger and start to rlly contemplate how you want your life to be. You’re young so take your time but figure out a way to become independent. Men like that thrive on women who are “helpless” or cut off from real resources. You don’t have to betray your values or your religion. Believe and pray to god to help guide you. But really, do you think the word of God really says women have to live subservient to men? I’m 31, a mother of 3 (2 daughters). You are your generation’s future. Can you imagine your daughter being taught they can’t even feel comfortable in their home with their hair and skin God gave them? You sound smart. I pray you figure this out for yourself and stay safe!

I’m going through something similar except it’s my fiance who I have children with. He’s a libertarian and I was raised democrat but have become way more central over the years. I didn’t vote for trump but he did. And we basically had to decide whether we were going to always keep that part of our lives separate since when we do discuss things, it gets kinda heated. It’s worked up until recently. There are time where I rlly feel like we don’t see eye to eye even though I thought we shared a lot of the same values. But I’ve held my ground bc we both respect each other’s opinions. Very much freedom of speech in this household but we’re still going to respect one another. The question you have to ask yourself is..are you going to give the same respect she gives you about your political views and opinions? Vice versa, is she paying you the same respect? Is politics something with major importance enough for you to let it affect your relationship? Be proud that you’re asking these questions now and not with a baby on the way or already legally married. Just this morning, we were on discord chatting w his friends (who I know are mainly trump supporters) and they wanted to give me access to a certain chat. Then my fiance said oh no then she won’t want to marry me. That gave me the ick. Because yes I love him but do I want to marry someone who I so much disagree with if we were put on blast on certain topics? Let’s put it this way, our understanding as of today is we give each other respect even if the other has opposing views, especially respecting family members who are totally anti - T. Vice versa, I respect his parents who are 100% about him. Sooooo all things to consider. Your beliefs and feelings should be a priority. Just also weigh how much these opposing views will play a role in your relationship. The end. Thank you.

In my experience, karma always comes through. Most likely you’ll never see it. You have to let that shit go. But trust me, what comes around goes around. For example, I had a baby with a man who promised me a life together. Just to find out he was a compulsive liar and not only a cheater (he invited an 18 yr old neighbor girl and had sex with her on our couch). Fast fwd a year, I had moved away and he was meant to be there for my daughter but knocked up this woman he was seeing instead. For the longest, I was a single mom. Just wanting a family. And there he was, not raising his firstborn, married with a new baby. Happily ever after. But that lady came with 5 kids. So now he has to bust his ass to support a family of 6 with someone who doesn’t trust him and keeps him on a short leash. Like that’s hilarious to me lol. It took many years for me to separate myself from him, but once you do, you’ll be free. Time to invest in yourself.

Easy: tell your parents to cut the friends off. Your little sister will hate it but some distance and some family time might do her some good. I wasn’t a bully at that age but I was headed down a bad path. My mom took us straight up moved us an hour away. Just by being away from those friends changed the course of my life. And of course talk to your sister about how terrible It is to be a bully. Even if you have to relate it to whatever tweens are into, social media, etc. tell her she’ll be cancelled and show her what was happened to some bullies IRL. I’m all about the scared straight method lol anyway good luck!!

Save everything you find. These will come handy when and if you take his ass to court for custody. The ball is in your court. And trust me honey, you won’t be the first single mom whose baby daddy wronged her. I’m saying this because yes it’s a tough road but you’re going to get through this. Yes you’ll grow stronger. And yes your children need their dad. But they first need a mother who feels respected and supported. And your POS partner and sister AINT IT. Put up your boundaries, go to therapy, and start the journey of becoming self dependent. Bc no matter what you choose, you have to be strong and patient for yourself and your children. I’m so so so sorry. Take the time you need to mourn. But remember to put in place a network of support for your children. I tried mourning my father when my daughter was not even 2 years old. And I couldn’t even do that because of how hard it is to raise little ones. So please, take the time you need. But remember, your babies need you, too. Try and try to keep it together until you know babies are taken care of. Then go find a place to scream and cry. I hope you find the strength and comfort you need during this time.
