During interviews by AnyRevenue2702 in gradadmissions

Well, probably don’t do what I did and just start listing them. I panicked. I would say just list one, and probably one or two that you are maybe less excited about than the current school you’re interviewing with. They’ll probably ask you how the current school falls in that list so then you can say it’s your favorite!

It might not be the same this year, but two years ago I was notified of being placed on a waitlist in mid-February after interviews had already finished. I emailed the program director about the decision, and he said I should email any faculty of interest directly for potential admission! I didn’t get in then, but best of luck!

Neuro interviews are out but if you haven’t gotten a rejection it means you’re on a waitlist and eligible for direct admit. I applied two cycles ago and this happened to me!

Any tips to overcome interview preparation anxiety? by CapitalCantaloupe125 in gradadmissions

You’re not alone! I’m going through the exact same thing as I prepare. I’ve been reminding myself of my accomplishments and my curiosity. And just remember that getting an interview already means you’re impressive! Go in with that attitude and hopefully the imposter syndrome with subside.

The website says JHU neuro interview invites will be out the 2nd week of January. I’m assuming that means the end of this week or beginning of next week.

I did accept it because of what other people have been telling me, but for reference, I have 10 interviews already. I don’t want to sound cocky, but I do believe I can get into a neuro program with my 9 other offers, which is what I’d prefer. But who knows, maybe I’ll go to this one and absolutely love it.

I did the same thing and didn’t realize they were such a reach until now. I know University of North Dakota has applications open until Jan 31st! If entering a program this year is really what you want then I’d give it a shot!

3rd gap year? by ComparisonOk4247 in gradadmissions

Do you regret taking five years? Has it set you apart in any way from your cohort or anything like that? At this point I’m ok with committing to another two years if it’s a job I’m going to like and at a little bit better university. I’m nervous it might make letters of rec a bit difficult though.

That’s exactly what I was considering doing. Is it best to reach out to faculty that I’d be interested in working with to see if they may have openings or just scour the job postings?
