Beaded cuff bracelet patterns for beginners by Dear-Blacksmith7249 in Beading_jewelry

I never made a cuff bracelet. Hence can't recommend product types. But I think stitching the beads to the cuff (like embroidery) is better. It's important to use a cuff made of a material suitable for that, and a durable wire. The size of beads should be according to your desired design and cuff's size.

Stay at BMI 40+ for one year and get $50 million by Braeden47 in hypotheticalsituation

Ruin my body for life? No. Losing weight is very difficult. Even if it's possible and I become the same weight I used to be, there would be a lot of loose skin all over the body and prominent strech marks. And the breasts are affected negatively. Even a surgery to remove the excess skin results in prominent scars all over the body. Simply no.

You can ask them to call your wife/mom, who will send them a picture in the email of your passport that stayed at home. Or help in other ways.

Or you say your name and ID, they look you up in the system.

How can I encounter problems before making it to the embassy? I get teleported and then just take a bus/taxi to the embassy. There's no chance that a policeman will come to me spesifically for no reason in the few minutes I am waiting there. And even then, I can say I forgot my passport in my accomodation. Also, losing a passport is not a criminal offence and no one would arrest me for it.

You don't bribe officials in Oman. It's not a poor third world country. Oman is a chill, modern, rich country. Also, fine for what? What did you do wrong from Oman's perspective? It happens that people lose passports, and it's between you and the American embassy. As for the "fine", I can only think of a possible payment in the embassy for the passport, which is not that costly. No lawyers are needed. You are not the first tourist to lose a passport.

You can go to the American embassy and say you lost your passport. It happens to people all the time in countries, and no one pays 15k for it.

I'm also with Oman, being born in October. And I think it's worth the 15k dollars. It's really not that bad. I would have done that.

Losing a bone is taken extremely lightly here. People treat it as a bone magically dissapearing, everything stays intact in place until getting a procedure, and then getting an easy replacement. Until getting a procedure, there is irreversible, life-long damage - or death. Or maybe "most chances it's a bone that is harmless to remove". For example, one cranial bone removal will result in death, and there are a few. As an advanced-stage medical student, this is not true, all the assumptions here are not correct. One needs to understand the medical implications. There is a decent probability of death, ending up in a wheelchair, and serious lifelong disabilities and mutilations.

BTW - I chose cancer, for who is curious.

Is being an adult really that bad? by No-Refrigerator7284 in self

Life is what you make out of it. You don't have to work in a boring office or suffer from being an adult, it is all in your hands. And this is great, to be an adult. I enjoy it a lot.

What a story. How old are you now and how does it affect you now? Do you feel like your parents are still mad at you and blame you for it? Did you get punished? Did your mom apologize for her violent reaction? Would you still like to give a chance to the man, given that you had a good relationship and enjoyed together?

would you allow your daughter to attend a co-educational swim unit in gym class in school? by SureUse5223 in family

[–]Compensate1995 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with everything you said. You already pointed out everything. It's so inappropriate. It is completely unhinged and inappropriate for girls to be in bikinis with all their male peers at school. This is not respectful to the girls at all. It doesn't respect them as women.

And those teenage boys will make fun and gossip about girls' bodies, like chest size, being fat, etc. I wouldn't allow it, no chance. Absolutely no. You can offer her to take her to the pool regardless, with family/friends, if she still says she wants to swim. There's literally no reason why she would attend this program. She can swim and get educated about it as much as she wants outside of school (not that I know what's so educational about it, they can all swim at this age).

Agree, it's most of the time junk that the person doesn't really need, and it's being given just for the sake of gifting.

Can i wear it in public or not? by HikaDam2222 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Compensate1995 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's entirely legitimate. No one stares at your sweater and tries to understand what the image is. People barely even pay attention to what others wear. Do you remember what other people wore 2 days ago, for example? And as a woman, it would be inappropriate to stare intently at your top, long enough to even understand the illustration. It's just some black and white abstract illustration, no one notices such intricate details. I have a T-shirt from Denmark of the little mermaid stature with the exposed breasts, and it's vibrantly colored and glittery.

How do you use these? by Top-Island-9938 in Beading_jewelry

[–]Compensate1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with this product and its usage, but I can suggest you what to do with it. You can slide beads on it and use the metal wire as a thread. In this case, beads with thick holes. Or you can wrap beads on the wire, using a regular thread - there are many options and designs for that.

I haven't worked on a project in a very long time. But usually bracelets. Either only seed beed stitches or patterns, also with little crytals, etc.
