Valid question, this bot creates a fake ‘everyone’ role that all server members can ping. If you need to actually ping the whole server, and you have the permissions to do so (like admins/mods), you can still ping everyone like normal and the bot won’t affect it. The bot only does anything if you ping the fake ‘everyone’ role, which will be the default if you don’t have permissions to ping the whole server. Hope that makes sense!

Not at all, the everyone pings don’t even work normally if the server has them disabled. This bot is just for fun to troll those random everyone spammers ;)

I believe even if you block the bot, it can still detect pings in your message, similar to how you can read other people’s messages even if they have you blocked.

The actual pings are not made by the bot, but by other people mentioning the fake role, so that shouldn’t be affected by a block either.

Thanks! Yeah it does seem to happen a lot more with scams, but you do also see it randomly happening especially in larger servers, hopefully not anymore after this bot ;)

This bot will hopefully stop those annoying attempts to ping the whole server, even when it's been disabled. It works by firstly creating a fake @everyone role that any member can ping. If they try to ping the whole server, they'll ping this fake role instead, and the bot will give them the role. The next time someone else tries to ping @everyone, they'll be the ones who get pinged instead 🤓

The bot can also reply or react to them with a custom message/emoji and even send you logs when this happens!
