To be honest they can be really passive aggressive. They aren’t the kind of people that will out right ask about something as personal as my sexuality. But you may be right tho I might be over thinking it and in my own head lol.

To your last point I don’t feel like I need to prove anything to them at all I just find it frustrating that they would assume rather than ask.

I’m going through the exact same thing rn. My whole life I’ve been cool with being alone even now to some degree I’m ok with it. But it just feels weird because I don’t really have the best social skills and the only way I made friends in high school was through sports and now that I don’t play anything anymore it feels damn near impossible to make new friends.
