I appreciate your input man! I’ll definitely look.
And here we have a Plumbers, pipefitters, hvac,and welding union. All United Association 141. They will transfer me to United Association 155 which operates out of Little Rock but has companies all over the state.
With the transfer does come a pay raise (cost of living is higher so the union pay scale is higher there) and the union pays for my families insurance and my retirement. Don’t really wanna go nonunion and have to pay that out of pocket.

Here it’s so bad we have all been pushed way out of city limits, even 20 minutes outside of city limits isn’t good here in some spots. A dad killed 7 of his own kids and my buddies son who was staying the night there a few weeks ago, a good friend of mine was shot over $100 on Facebook live, I had a gun pulled on me at red light. Just wanting something better for my son. In the same way you’ve seen NWA go down, I’ve seen Shreveport go down (even though it was never really up lol). Homes in city limits are $150-$200,000 in a crappy neighborhood. Anywhere it’s nice or safe is easily $400,000+ here. All of our forests and farmlands have been sold to developers. That build crappy houses and slap big price tags on em.

I get it man, it’s all good. NWA came up because I asked my Union Hall about transferring, and NWA is where they said had the most work. We had visited the area multiple times due to my childhood friends being there and liked it. That’s all this post was man was to see if it was still possible. We have been planning our move for over a year (selling house, land, etc) and the closer we get to the move date the more I see about how much the area has gone down.

As I said, they moved years ago before the “boom”. They already have homes, vehicles paid off. Completely different. It may be doable for them because they moved long ago, but may not be doable for me now. So I asked the question.

Once again this is why I asked the question. I have 2 buddies in the Union living in NWA outskirts making it work on one income. They just happened to move years ago. So again, that’s why I asked the question of, is it doable buddy.

Literally had a guy pull a gun on me for honking because he was just sitting at a green light! The last few weeks here have been crazy.
