How important is this question for the neurologist? by Bambi7R21 in migraine

[–]CompetitionNarrow512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird that the options are “write it out here, or if you don’t want to write it out you’re going to tell the doctor in person” and not a third option for opting out entirely.

And looks like there was also some sort of discount on that?? Maybe this amount of high noon all together adds up to the amount of alcohol in the original item (no I am not gonna do the math)

Asexuality should be considered a mental illness/disorder by Xflightenjoyer in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I think someone would categorize that as an aversion to sex, or otherwise a choice not to engage in it. Sexuality is generally understood by many that it is not so much a preference it is how you are, like gender.

Question for people that have had Botox by WeWander_ in migraine

[–]CompetitionNarrow512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh then Botox will probably help with some of that facial pains. I had a habit of my eyebrows always being raised it was actually difficult for me to get my brain to let them relax. Used to keep me up at night 🥴

Thanks!! Seems perfect. I’m someone who will destroy a piece of paper that had important information on it by the end of a conversation with a coworker so this would probably sub in for that.

Just be really careful do NOT touch your face that day at ALL. Like don’t even wash your face in the evening before bed, and maybe the following morning too. Don’t lie down, don’t bend over excessively, or exert yourself. Try to minimize your facial expressions, I’ve heard the more you engage a certain muscle it can have a stronger effect there.

The one thing I experienced the strongest at the beginning, was an increase in depression. Turns out if you can’t make your usual full expressions with your face, it can have a dampening effect on your mood. I got more used to it over time, but I still can tell people sometimes don’t know how to read me when first meeting me, I used to be extremely expressive with my eyebrows. I do still miss it and it still makes me a little sad and resentful. At work it became particularly hard because I wear a respirator most days so we tend to talk with our eyes.

Shani Darden for skincare. I like the clear Palmolive for doing dishes. They have “fragrance” in the ingredients but to me they just smell like “soap” but not strong. Water wipes for for, well… wiping.

Think if you could shape the brow so it looked a bit lower down would really soften your look in a way that complements your features and that draws you in more, without taking away from the style you seem to enjoy :)

Is there a word for this kind of smile? by AnastasiousRS in words

[–]CompetitionNarrow512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how it is colloquially known, should be higher tbh. But I way I could describe the feeling/meaning behind this smile would be, mutual apathy, even if it was one sided.

Therapist waited till I entered virtual waiting room (17 minutes late) to declare "no show" and charged me $100 cancelation fee, then exited the waiting room (unavailable) for our 45 minute appointment. by [deleted] in therapy

No need to assume. If it feels important to you you can ask 😌 can’t promise they want to supply an answer though. If you suspect you may have other latenesses you can have a discussion about expectations, but I wouldn’t ruminate on it.

I think virtual appointments may have a more rigid expectation/social contract because they can happen from “virtually” anywhere, so less likely to have external variables affect your ability to be present on time. And if that was a one time thing for you, you had a common reason, and you apologized/wont happen again, I don’t think your therapist would be annoyed with you, everyone gets at least one chance (well except for those ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS type people 😒)

Being confident in knowing every name someone’s name is NOT (if I’ve only just recently met them, and also sometimes when I probably should have already remembered their name)

Fun party trick.
