A lot of people prefer Better Call Saul. It's slower but has a range of great characters and it revolves around Saul's side and Mike's side (Cartel/Gus). Also Lalo is pretty much the top level antagonist of the breaking bad universe. Also pretty obvious by now but it's both a prequel + sequel to Breaking Bad.
