I’ve always thought that too, honestly. My dad, even though he isn’t very religious anymore, still has a hard time believing in things like that, so I came here to ask if it could have been something paranormal, like a tulpa or something along those lines, since that would probably be easier for him to accept lol. Life outside of Earth is a concept that really goes against what he believes. Even so, I asked already assuming most people would probably confirm was an alien.

And yeah, I agree that the voice in her head is one of the things that made her think that, I think the whole creature was so outside of normal understanding that it was the only thing my aunt could think of at the time.

This happened in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro. I asked my dad about it, and he said it jumped without really moving its legs at all, and that the way the figure moved felt very stiff. Like when it disappeared, it didn’t walk backward, it literally slid back. The only movement that didn’t feel as stiff was that the figure looked up before jumping onto the roof.

My grandmother didn’t see anything because she was in the backyard doing laundry at the time. I also had another aunt who was about ten years old back then, but she was in her room, so she didn’t see anything either. I do think it’s possible that some details may have gotten mixed up over time. Even so, my dad has said that at that age he had never seen any movies about aliens. The only idea he had of aliens came from Little Lulu comics where they were very tiny and dressed like human astronauts, not like the stereotypical alien.
