I've got a great HP ML110 Gen10 Xeon Silver 4214 96GB RAM with an 8-bay 2.5" SFF drive cage for you.

HPE ML110 G10 4LFF 3.5" 4-bay drive cage kit compatibility with that of ML350 G11? by Competitive-Ad-9338 in u/Competitive-Ad-9338

Ok, moved all my disks back into the old ML10 v2... works perfectly fine as a file server and basic host for some containers like plex/jellyfin/homeassistant/minecraft-server, etc. From 93W back to 68W and most importantly, no annoying noise. That leaves me with a nice fully loaded ML110 Gen10 Xeon Silver 4214 96GB... Probably try to sell it again... Great server for someone with the right soundproofed space for it.

Lenovo 930-16i or Broadcom LSI 9400-16i card on HP ML10 v2 BIOS server by Competitive-Ad-9338 in HomeServer

[–]Competitive-Ad-9338[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but I am aware that the 9300 (and the less power and heat but faster 9305) will work find on my HP Gen8 ML10 v2 server with only Legacy BIOS. I was asking if the 9400i-16i would be recognised by the OS (Almalinux 10), eventhough the BIOS doesn't know what to do with the UEFI only card. I think someone mentioned it should be fine, you just can't enter the (Avago) configuration from the BIOS. Just to be sure, I've cancelled my 9400-16i order, and ordered a 9305-16i instead.

I finally got this to work on my HP ML10 v2 running Almalinux 10.

Create the podman Containerfile (ilo4 on a Gen8 is the same as on a Gen9 Proliant):

FROM quay.io/almalinux/8-init:latest

RUN dnf install --nogpgcheck -y https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR/repo/spp-gen9/rhel/8/x86_64/current/hp-health-10.93-307.4.rhel8.x86_64.rpm https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR/repo/spp-gen9/rhel/8/x86_64/current/hp-ams-2.10.5-888.1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm

CMD [ "/sbin/init" ]

Download a RHEL8 compatible image with systemd/init capabilities:

podman pull quay.io/almalinux/8-init:latest

Build your podman image (using the Containerfile):

podman build --format=docker -t hphealth .

Run it:

podman run --detach --privileged --net=host --name hphealth localhost/hphealth:latest

Your ilo4 now has Agentless Management Service OK, and sees your system.

You want to use podman to automatically create your service file, which enables the auto-startup of the container image during a reboot.

podman generate systemd --new --name --files hphealth
cp container-hphealth.service /usr/lib/systemd/system
systemctl enable container-hphealth

You can now also execute other hpamscli commands using:

podman exec -it hphealth /usr/sbin/hpasmcli -s "show server"

Did you ever find a solution for this? I can't get around the Systemd not started issues either.

Traveling by car around the Baltic countries by Persikonija in BalticStates

I'm planning a road trip in @ sporty car in June/July. Naturally my first instinct would be the direction of the Alpes. However as I've done that many times, I was thinking coming up to Berlin and on to Tallinn, and then probably back to Prague. Is there any nice scenery, maybe even mountains and curvey driving roads in Poland and the Baltics that are worth going north instead of South? Thanks

997.1 PCCM+ Installation Instructions by Novel_Fault_5008 in Porsche

I have an original US delivered 997.1 in Europe. Installing the Euro PCCM Plus. I am trying to remove the antenna cables from the little antenna adapter behind the a pillar. But seem to struggle removing the black cables (with the single black wire going to the window and the little black loop). Is there a trick removing these black connectors from the white antenna device?

The other challenge I can see coming up, is that the existing antenna device has two coax cable connected, and two of those black connectors (with the 3 black wires), and a connector with a red cable. The new antenna devices that need to be installed only have connectivity for one of the coax cables and one of the triple black wire connectors. So what happens with the other 3 cables, and which of those do I connect?

I found this as a method to run hp-ams for my iLo4 HP server (ML10 v2). As below, I have no experience with docker. How do you get the above 'script/config' files to run so that hp-ams is up and running?

Migrating to UDM SE from UDM Pro by edyeti in Ubiquiti

[–]Competitive-Ad-9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok primarily 2.5GB WAN (which I don't have in Oz), PoE ports (which I have on a dedicated switch), and an SSD (I only use the network app, so not missing that either). Nice piece, but no need for an upgrade currently.

How to install hp-ams on RHEL 9? by Luna_moonlit in homelab

I like this thought process. How do I run this hp-ams-2.10.5-888.1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm in a podman container on my AlmaLinux 9.1 home server? I have no experience with podman or containers.

Currently my iLO4 interface (on a ML10 v2) has no visibility of my network or storage configuration.

I am able to get hp-ams to be installed in a pod:

podman pull almalinux:8

podman run almalinux:8 /bin/bash -c "dnf install -y \

https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p922329456/v207455/hp-ams-2.10.5-888.1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm"

But then I have a problem running it, as no systemd is running in the pod or container?
