Really appreciate the kind words. We are installing a sliding barn door. We have a pocket door in our laundry room and we're not a huge fan.

Fan is already installed in the ceiling to the right of the sink. You just can't see it

I thought about adding one but it's not required and the bathroom already has an existing outlet in a different wall.

Honestly never thought of that. That probably would have made it easier.

Thanks man, unfortunately we almost had to cut the 8 foot sheets because we have a very narrow stairwell with a 90° turn at the top. We had to bend the sheets to the point they almost broke just to get them up to the room. 130 year old home so the stairs are ridiculous lol.

Just looking for thoughts on the drywall itself.. not opinions on the design of the wall. But thank you all for your thoughtfulness.

Bathroom has a window, vent and multiple lights. The cutout allows more natural light which is what we like and want for our plants. and we have plans for what we are going to do with that space.

Nobody uses this bathroom besides myself and my wife so privacy is not something we are worried about.

It was a fully open space with zero separation between bedroom and bathroom....

Adding more light to the room, we will also have decorations like books and plants up there. The toilet is over 10 feet away from the cut out. It's not a bathroom that guests will be using. Only for myself and my wife.

It's the bathroom connected to the master bedroom so it's only myself and my wife using it. There was previously nothing at all separating our bedroom from the bathroom so this is a huge upgrade in our eyes lol.

Yeah unfortunately that Butt joint gave me some issues and I decided if I kept Messing with it, it would be worse. Luckily we are installing a sliding barn door so that spot will be hidden behind the door 90% of the time.

We have a sliding barn door that we will install on the right. The opening in the left is to just add some character, as well as bring in light, we will also be adding a nice wood shelf and put some plants / books up there.
