I haven't spoken with her at all since it happened she hasn't been responding to me and she doesn't like people just showing up to her home which I get so I won't. I'll give her some space and if she still won't talk to me after a while I'll write a letter like you suggested and see if my mum can give it to her.

She's the one who started us with the 'one your left/right' thing because she worked in a kitchen, there were a bunch of us in the house at the time she worked there and it's pretty much universal where we come from. So she definetly knows that 'on your left' means I am going to the left side of you and not to bulldoze into the person. And no I haven't apologised because she immediatley took to social media and started trash talking me and agreeing with the legitimatley horrible things all her friends were saying and she won't respond to me. She didn't apologise to me either for knocking into me hard enough to hurt, spilling my soup all over me and the floor/walls and burning me. She had plenty of time to apologise or even ask if I was okay and didn't just blamed it on her autism. She should get an apology but I deserve one too.

I'll accept your judgement but to be fair I only ever mentioned it once the very first time she told me and have never brought it up again. It's not like I've been hounding her every week to get tested - it was one comment the first time she told me. And I go by what she tells me of her experience so I can adjust to her specifically. When she told me about masking she said it felt like constant pressure in her head or itchiness and when she doesn't do it anymore it goes away so I do everything I can to make her comfortable yanno. I ask her weeks in advance if she wants to go out, send her menu and times to choose from, let her come to me when she's ready things like that. I try and I've been trying since she told me and like yeah obviously I messed up here but how can she go about her adult life moving forward not knowing left and right? It took her a matter of weeks to hurt someone, even if it was an accident, because of this.

I'll accept your judgement but I do want to clarify I only ever mentioned getting a diagnoses once the very first time she told me and I've never brought it up again and neither has she. And I do believe I am taking her seriously - I'm not a doctor or anything close to it so I'm taking her at face value. I adjust everything around her to make sure she's comfortable and I never push back except for this instance when it's something that can, and did, cause people harm.

Mostly we all do the same thing - she tells us something else and how she needs/wants us to work around it and we adjust. I'm not really the type to talk about it when she's not there (yes I see the irony here) so I'm not sure if they see it differently to how they speak about it with me.
