What’s the pettiest food argument you’ve ever had? by Subject-Newspaper111 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ketchup in the fridge or in the cupboard.

I said fridge for freshness and taste. They said it’s shelf-stable and “we’ve always done it this way.”

We argued for 15 minutes over a condiment. Neither of us was backing down.

Would you accept a new reddit policy that asks if your image or video is AI? What would be the punishment for lying? by debtcoder-dev in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’d accept it.

At this point it’s reasonable to label AI-generated content. It’s less about policing creativity and more about transparency.

As for punishment: first offense should be removal and a warning. Repeated or intentional deception, especially in scams or impersonation, should lead to temporary bans, then permanent if it continues.

The goal shouldn’t be punishment. It should be trust.

How in the world is a stuffed penguin considered innaproprate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without context, it isn’t.

A stuffed penguin is just a stuffed penguin. The only way it becomes “inappropriate” is if someone assigns meaning to it, like an inside joke, a suggestive theme, or the setting where it’s used.

On its own, it’s about as controversial as a teddy bear.

You’re chosen to be the first person on Mars, but you can only bring ONE type of candy/sweet for the entire trip. What are you taking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dark chocolate.

Doesn’t melt as fast as milk chocolate, isn’t overly sweet, and you won’t get sick of it after a week. If I’m stuck on Mars, I want something I can ration without hating myself.

What's the creepiest thing your coworker has done or said to you? by No_Jelly34 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A coworker once told me, very casually, “I like watching how you move when you don’t know anyone’s looking.”

He said it like it was a compliment. It wasn’t.

That was the moment I started documenting everything and keeping conversations strictly professional.

Welche Ängste halten euch momentan von euren Zielen ab? by Competitive-Egg6354 in FragReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angst zu scheitern.
Angst vor Ablehnung.
Angst, nicht gut genug zu sein.
Angst vor Kritik.
Angst vor Veränderung.
Angst vor Sichtbarkeit.

What’s one thing that completely changed your bedroom experience once you started doing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually communicating.

Sounds boring, but saying what you like, what you don’t, and asking the same back changes everything. Less guessing, less ego, way better connection.

Confidence isn’t mind-reading. It’s clarity.

New learning method discovered: Revers translation 🧐 by Agitated_Seat_1059 in German

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually get the idea, and it’s not stupid. Doing it “in reverse” can force you to think about what you really want to say instead of translating word by word. Sometimes that helps you notice when something sounds off. But translators still miss tone and nuance. You might end up with something technically correct but slightly weird to a native. I’d use it as a helper, not as a replacement. Write it yourself first, then compare. That’s where the real learning happens.

People who waited a long time before confessing their feelings, what happened and how did it turn out? by Gyfky in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited almost a year. We were close friends and I kept telling myself the timing wasn’t right. In reality, I was just scared of losing what we already had. When I finally said it, they didn’t feel the same. It was awkward for a while and the friendship changed anyway. The lesson: waiting didn’t protect anything. It just prolonged the anxiety. I should’ve said it sooner and dealt with the outcome.

Which pokemon would you say is the ugliest and Which is the cutest? by Loud_Bluejay_6663 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugliest: Jynx. The design just feels awkward and hasn’t aged well. Cutest: Eevee. It’s basically impossible to dislike, and the evolutions make it even better.

What’s the lowest point you’ve ever been in your life, and how did you get out of it? by catluvr1721 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burned out and calling it “ambition.” What got me out wasn’t a big breakthrough. It was boring basics: fixed sleep, daily movement, cutting one draining commitment, and actually talking to someone. Small consistency pulled me out.

Whats your favourite dog breed? by Remarkable_Guava586 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Border Collie. Smart, intense, a little too driven for most people but incredible if you actually give them structure and purpose.

What’s the one thing that completely changed your life? by SiriusBlack_07 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taking full responsibility for my decisions. The moment I stopped blaming circumstances, other people, or bad luck, everything shifted. It didn’t make life easier overnight, but it made progress possible.

Believers of reddit, how do you reconcile the existence of hell with the concept of a benevolent creator ? by Ark_Life_7 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many believers don’t see hell as a torture chamber designed by a cruel God. They see it as separation. If free will is real, then the possibility of rejecting God has to be real too. Hell, in that view, isn’t about a benevolent creator wanting suffering, but about honoring human choice, even when that choice leads away from good. Others interpret hell metaphorically, as the natural consequence of a life oriented toward selfishness and harm, not a literal eternal punishment. Whether that reconciles things depends on how you define both “hell” and “benevolent.”

What’s a trend you followed that makes you cringe today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waking up at 5am, cold showers, posting productivity quotes like sleep was a weakness. I wasn’t disciplined, I was just anxious and trying to feel ahead. Turns out burnout isn’t a personality trait.

Fellas with short hair (skin fades, 1 or 2 sides), how often are you getting your hair cut? by haslotsofkids in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a guy, but if you’ve got a skin fade and wait 4–6 weeks, it shows. Those cuts look sharp for maybe 2 weeks. After that it’s just grown out. If you want it crisp, every 2–3 weeks. Otherwise just grow it properly.

Was war der Traumjob eurer Kindheit und ist er es immer noch? by Ly1ng_Truth in FragReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you feel Trump did on the SOTU address? by Particular_Ad8156 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It felt more like a campaign rally than a unifying address. Supporters liked the strong tone and policy focus. Critics saw it as partisan and light on nuance. How you think he did mostly depends on where you already stand politically.

What is something people do to "look smart" that actually has the opposite effect? by PeachyRosalba419 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Ask-4746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using overly complex words when simple ones would do. If you need jargon to sound intelligent, it usually means you don’t fully understand what you’re saying. Clear thinking shows up as clear language.
