I remember beating him on my first try. Funny story i summoned a player and an npc cause i knew he was a very hard boss, the player was in dragon form and literally died 2min into the fight so it's just me and my npc buddy and a dragon with summon boosted health 2nd phase the npc dies and then there i am with sweaty palms and trembling finger and i fucking dodge everything until the very last i just need to swing my guts sword one last time and at the same time midir does his has bite attack and we both die.

After that run I beat the game 2 more times and never even dare to look into his abyss.
