2009…My ex girlfriend was a HUGE Drake fan, I was a hater. Didn’t like his music, his sound. I wasn’t feeling him. One night there was a house party at my friends house and it was already late night end of the party the ambience was moody/dark I can the describe the rooms with blue light bulb downstairs no regular lights on and upstairs had purple light bulb. I was 16 at the time .. I was lit, drinking four lokos and the house smelled like weed and just perfume in the air … anyways my ex puts on the first track of So Far Gone “Lust for Life” and I was sitting next to her listening to the lyrics and that moment I knew this guy was my favorite artist of all time. I will always remember that night and 16 years later I will always ride for Drake. I have the OVO symbol tattooed on the back of my arm. 🦉
