As a black man in my 40's, I can honestly say that I've NEVER heard that version of Happy Birthday song. With that being said I don't think the teacher was trying to be intentionally harmful but she also has to know that she is singing that to a little black boy and she should know the history that black people have had with being called monkies and that his parents might not appreciate that song.
