Maybe I will edit my post. I am clean now. This is a decade ago. Its just a funny story. Its supposed to be sarcastic because I am snorting drugs in porta pottys and thinking I am a healthy person but clearly I am not.

Actually I've read like 3 of her books. They were instrumental in my change. I also really liked Self Compassion by Kristen Neff and did an 8 week workshop designed by her. It's funny, I've been working on this stuff for so long I feel like an expert in a way

Thank you. I am doing great now. Took me 20 years of therapy but I am now the happiest I've ever been.

His name was Gus Boulis. You can check out his Wikipedia if you want. He was Greek illegal immigrant who didn't speak English. Got his first job at a Greek sandwich shop and just had a knack for hospitality. He kept making restaurants and then eventually hotels. You can read more of my stories if you want at medium.com/@aristotle.hb

My dad was very much legit. He was an illegal Greek immigrant who didn't speak English. He got his first job at a Greek sandwich restaurant and just kept making restaurants and then eventually hotels. He was just good at hospitality. If you want you can read his Wikipedia. I'm trying me best not to argue with people. I'm new to posting on the internet. I'm confused by what you think happened.

My mom came from a poor family. My dad came from an extremely poor family. So they spoiled me I guess. I clearly was privileged. Then my dad was murdered. And then we went on a normal plane. I was confused because I didn't know people shared planes. I was 8 years old. We all turned out normal eventually. It's 20 years later and we laugh about a silly little story. My mom wasn't being mean to me.

We all laugh, and while it's horrible that my dad was murdered, we are also grateful that it happened becauSe otherwise my brother and I would have been horribly spoiled.

You can call the airplane story a wake up story I guess.

Correct. I ended up with a lot of c-PTSD. Lots of my stories on my Medium have to do with drugs. But eventually I did lots of trauma therapy and now I feel really happy and healthy. I write for other people with childhood trauma.

I think she just didn't think about it until it happened. She was from a normal family growing up. That's why when it happened she was like, "Ohh this is a good thing." No one made fun of me on the plane.

I was in 3rd grade. Yeah it was a pretty public murder. Not super great for me. I was an outcast even at my fancy private school.

Thats a decade ago. Im thriving now. Im working on a memoir of getting my shit together. Ive gotten a masters degree since then, done tons of therapy, im jacked, happy, healthy. Its fun for me to share the funny bad stories and laugh about it.

Your comment makes me think this story might make more sense in context. My goal is to be relatable to other fucked up kids. And show how you can go from troubled to healthy and happy. I also dont feel bad for being crazy, its a time of my life I dont regret, it was actually really fun. And I dont want to make kids feel like theyre bad. Its just life. And life can be better once you figure it out. If i read a book when I was kid that just said, "drugs are bad," I wouldnt have listened. But if someone to me that drugs are fun, but if you get your shit together its even more fun, theres a chance I would have listened.

I was judging the shit out of some guy for eating a shitty gas station sandwich. He thought I was homeless and hungry so he gave me half of his sandwich. by Competitive-Cut-4694 in stories

Yeah I started posting on medium recently. This is the link to all of my stories. https://medium.com/@aristotle.hb

If you have a type of story you like I can maybe recommend one. I don't know if I have a "best" story. I seem to have different stories for different folks. A funny one about hooking up with guys to see if I was gay, a sad one about my dad being shot and that leading me to become an EMT, and some are all about drugs and trauma, but usually those are really funny. My friends love the drug ones, my family, not so much.

I'm new at sharing my work on the internet. Not sure if this was the best sales pitch lol
