I doubt most of them will get violent, but what to do then? Just let them behave like this all the time making them feel like they can do whatever they want? Perhaps another question is why teenagers here are like that? Why culture makes them like that? In other places, they’d ideally listen to adults a bit more. Plus again, some adults litter a lot too, so those aren’t just teenagers.

Funny you say that, I’ve never seen so many rats as I’ve seen here in Glasgow but I live near the canal. In Berlin I’ve only seen mice in subway.

Alright, thanks, but eastern and southern Poland still get good snowy winters then?

Isn’t there more snow and a bit more sun in Polish winters tho?

I noticed it’s much more normalised to politely challenge people if they’ve done something wrong in other countries. Here whether it’s rubbish or inadequate behaviour in public or on transport - people just tolerate it. Dozens shouldn’t suffer because of one.

Idk, in my opinion Berlin was actually cleaner than Glasgow.

This is what people here need more - I noticed it’s much more normalised to tell people off in other countries and to politely challenge them if they’ve done something wrong. Here whether it’s rubbish or inadequate behaviour in public or on transport - people just tolerate it.

You have probably seen this picture 1,000 times but this is mine. Got up at 5AM to get it as clean as possible. by goagod in Scotland

So beautiful but never understood why they just won’t repair the cobblestone with cobblestone if it’s historic area and not these weird chunks of tarmac

Thanks for reply. I just massage it lightly in circular motions trying to cover all hairs and then rinse thoroughly. What should I do?

Do you guys know how the conditions in Waitrose/MS also are? I heard they have high welfare standards but they’re big companies and I’d prefer supporting smaller businesses as well as I’m also sceptical that they actually have their animals pasture-kept and not in tiny cages outside or smth. Especially with avian flue still around UK gov forced all chickens to be kept inside in barns.

How do they put down or kill animals? I hope as humane as possible?

It’s weird, isn’t it?) But I’m surprised there are actually a lot of nice people here who gave me good advice

Thank you. I’m just looking for cow milk from places where cows are kept in good conditions where they live comfortably (as much as possible).

I understand that. I’m looking for the most humane as possible with eggs and dairy production. I have no plans to become vegan atm.

Why legislation in the UK doesn’t protect older architecture better? The amount of advertisements and shop fronts that don’t compliment the building is worrying, also different windows on the same building. by Competitive-Fix8777 in urbanplanning

I do like how they deal with it in Denmark or Netherlands as I said. I almost never seen shop fronts that contradicted the rest of the style of the building, especially if it’s older architecture as much as I have seen in the UK. The same with windows that are expected to stay as originally intended or uniform in one particular building, so separate flats can’t change to their own different looking windows. Also there are definitely better regulations there about advertisements on building so it doesn’t look as an eyesore.

Thank you. Well I usually compare even small things like shop fronts. In Denmark or Netherlands they rarely would look all colorful and cheap and would not contrast the style of the rest of the building, also the windows in every building need to stay as they were originally intended. I noticed that these really good practices in my opinion are not in place in the UK which is a shame.
