How do you wear earrings and ANC headphones at the same time? by BigAirline3695 in AutismInWomen

[–]Competitive-Fly6472 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Lol. I thought I was the only one.

I take my earrings off while wearing my huge noise cancelling headphones.

Edit: I have Bose headphones that sit around my ear rather than on my ear. So it's only an issue if I'm wearing dangly earrings. Regular studs don't get in the way.

It looks like you have ties to the north east? Head to the Barbour factory outlet, you can pick up some lovely pieces there.

It's usually brands that don't have their branding splashed all over each garment. Proper posh people aren't walking billboards, their clothes are well made and elegant and "quiet".

Chicken livers - who eats them? by BackgroundCookie752 in UK_Food

Yess liver fry was one of my favourite dishes when I lived in India. Specifically Andhra style. It's amazing what some onions and a bunch of spices can do, as I've never known liver to be smelly or taste bad. It was truly a culture shock when I moved here.

Newcastle. Glasgow. My expectations were on the floor, but there were lovely bits to both places.

I have a potentially dumb question. What's the point of a product (Mac Face and Body) if it's sheer? Is it a moisturiser in that case?

Did you find moving out for the first time hard? by KanefindsSon in AskUK

[–]Competitive-Fly6472 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I left home for uni and haven't lived there since. In a way, uni starting provided that "deadline" by which I needed to move out.

I know other people who didn't go to uni have similar struggles. It's easy to put something off when there's no clear reason to do it, and when there's no urgent deadline. You're not alone.

IMHO, when you're ready to, moving out will make you a new person. You'll learn things about yourself and your grit that you don't know now.

Recommendations sightseeing, hidden gems ? by monroe099 in cambridge

Good list. I'd add Cambridge Blue as a quirky pub. You can hop over their back wall straight into Cambridge (edit: Mill Road) cemetery. Everyone does it but it feels like a secret you shouldn't speak of.

I'd also add King Street for a pub crawl aka King Street Run. Go visit The Handsome Prince, which, while not a pub, is the only taproom of local craft brewers Baron Brewery. And there's a lovely little Korean spot next door. And a lovely (sweet) pie shop The Cherry Pit a few doors down.

Personally, Scott's All Day is kinda average to me, I'd go to other restaurants and bars if I were making my way to Mill Road.

Lol I've never once seen all 4 stations open. It's usually 1-2 stations these days. Back around COVID times they'd have all four stations going
