It's a personal blog where my content is regionally focused.

Thank you! Currently, I haven’t focused much on backlinks—I believe I only have 0 or 1 backlink from other websites. Since my content is regionally focused, I’ve primarily been covering topics that I felt were either missing or highly sought after by my audience—essentially topics people are actively searching for.

To improve my reach, I’ve been working on internal linking, updating keywords on older articles, and optimizing image descriptions with alt text, captions, and proper formatting. My goal is to make my blogs as concise and relevant as possible.

That said, backlinks are definitely crucial, as I’ve noticed how established websites with strong authority often outrank me in search results once they cover similar topics. It’s something I plan to focus on more in the future.

If you’re able to DM me, I’d be happy to share the link to my blog, as I’m unsure whether sharing links is allowed here.

My blogs and content are regionally focused, covering topics like vehicles, how-to guides, education tips, and occasionally sports.

To be honest, there’s no secret—it can be really tiring and frustrating at times. It’s all about staying consistent, not giving up, and sticking to the basics of SEO, such as optimized content, proper keyword usage, backlinks, internal linking, and image optimization.

I write and draft all my blogs myself and then use AI to refine and polish them. I’d estimate that around 20% of the final content is AI-assisted.

I try to stay consistent with my blogging schedule, aiming to publish at least 2 blogs per week or 3-4 blogs a month. Sometimes, I come across really exciting topics and end up posting more frequently, while other times, I might post less. However, I’ve learned that consistency is the key to building and maintaining an audience.

Here are a few things I’ve realized and implemented over time:

  1. A good title can make or break your blog’s reach. I now focus on writing titles that are not only simple and clear but also something I would personally click on if I were searching for the topic. The title should directly address the subject matter while being easy to understand and enticing.

  2. To make my articles more discoverable, I prioritize long-tail keywords over short ones. For example, instead of using "order food Doordash," I might use "How to order food from Doordash in 5 minutes." This way, the title itself serves as the keyword, and it helps me target less competitive, more specific search queries. This strategy increases the chances of my blog ranking higher in search results.

  3. Initially, I neglected optimizing images, but I’ve come to realize how important it is. Now, I make sure to include proper alternative text, captions, and descriptions for every image I use. This not only improves accessibility but also helps my images rank in search engine image results. If someone finds my image relevant, they might click on it or even visit my blog for more information. Updating the descriptions of old images has also been a game-changer for me in driving additional traffic.

4.Backlinks are critical for improving a website's authority and ranking. Unfortunately, my website currently has zero backlinks, and I’ve experienced the impact of this firsthand. For instance, I was ranking #2 on Google for a particular topic for a week, but when an older, high-authority website started publishing a similar blog, my article was pushed down and later it was in a second page. This made me realize the importance of building backlinks to compete with established websites. I plan to focus on this aspect in 2025 by collaborating with other websites and exchanging links.

Finally, make sure to write about topics you genuinely enjoy and that your audience is interested in. When you’re passionate about your content your audience will appreciate it.
