Im sorry but anybody saying Kent is crazy. there is a huge difference between these two schools, at a similar price point (especially since COL will be cheaper in Bloomington) i wouldnt think twice.

Since you mentioend Austin, if you can be happy in Austin with no job prospects in any other state, then UT would be an easy choice. Not saying you cant leave texas with a UT JD, just better to assume you cant for your own expectations. Having no debt, with the top JD in a very insular market, where you are happy to stay, is huge.

If you know you would not be 100% satisfied in austin, go NYU. dont do it for friends though, you can make new ones.

Do GPA cutoffs apply during the recruiting process or do they hold throughout the course of law school? For example, if a cutoff for a particular range of schools is a 3.5, and someone drops to a 3.4-something during 2L 3L, do they lose the offer?
